anyone in a band????

Hey how many people are in bands im in one but how many others are???

not exactly but i played backing acoustic for my friends band in a recording studio and at a ‘gig’ of sorts last week. I hope to set up my own band soon though

used to be for 5 years…can that count?

I’m in two bands. The first one is just like a random covers band, were not serious at all so it may not count as a band. The second one is a proper band with original material, were a ‘shoegazer’ band, though we may do the odd My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive or The Jesus and Mary Chain cover, I sing and play lead guitar in both.

My Bloody Valentine were fantastic. Can I hear some material please?

Yeah I’ll try and get something recorded at our next practice……I’m not sure when that is actually. But yeah I’ll try and do something though it may take a while as I actually dunno when we’re practicing next due to some members being on holiday. Oh just for your saftey, when and if I manage to send you something don’t have it too loud as we’re a very very loud band (our dummer, Leon, his girlfriend had to be taken to hospital after complaining of ear problems after sitting in on one of our sessions. She’s fine now.)

lead singer/vocalist and rythm guitarist (sometimes) hopefully will be getting a permanent rythm which will bring the band count to 5

I used to play Bass in a small ALt Rock band.

But, it wasnt really my style.

You have to be happy with what youre making, my friends band offered my the role of 2nd guitarist, after one session I left. All they played was thrash metal crap with way too much distrtion. I prefer music when its cleaner

well u know u could have both going on, moderate distortion and clean light distortion always works well together – i think anyway
