Team Sleep

Well I heard of this side project, because, well obviously due to the locked avatar it clearly shows Deftones all over the place, It was a side project from the lead singer of the Deftones, Chino Moreno.

This band of famous individuals from different areas of music, came together to make some rock/chillout tracks with the poetic and melodic vocals of Chino Moreno, Rob Crow of San Diego based band Pinback and Mary Timony of the band Helium also lending a hand into some of the vocals, backed up with some famous and not so famous people, Todd Wilkinson – Guitar, Rick Verret – Bass Guitar Zach Hill – Drums and DJ Crook – Turntables.

I really enjoy the tracks they have made together, the tracks that leaned more to the rock side, and the tracks that leaned heavily to the chillout side, as the name implies, Team Sleep actually does make me feel.. Sleepy.. (Hence username)

Anyway, After that Review/Reccomendation I would like to hear anyone elses opinions on the band, and to see if anyone else liked them.

I haven’t had chance to buy the album yet, though I’m sad to see ‘Mercedes’ isn’t on there. I’m a fan of Deftones, and from what I’ve downloaded I’m a fan of Team Sleep, I’m definitley going to buy the album, definitley.

Mercedes is on the album, they had to remix it and re-name it, because the original songs planned for the release of the album were leaked on the internet (Which I feel guilty for downloading)

I have the record. I think it is pretty good. I prefer Chino screaming his sack off though to be fair…
