Radiohead

I know their newer work has been far from brilliant but the other day while looking something to listen to i decided I’d listen to Radiohead. After listening to The Bends and OK Computer I remembered just how brilliant they are. So any other fans?

I suppose you could call me a fan of them as they’re my favourite band. My favourite album of theirs being OK Computer, and Hail to the Thief was pretty good really, ‘There, There’, ‘2 + 2 =5’, ‘Go To Sleep’ and ‘Sail to the Moon’ are all great songs.

Also this band creates some of thee greatest b-sides of all recorded music, ‘Talk Show Host’, ‘Lift’, ‘Gagging Order’, ‘Fog’ and ‘How I Made My Millions’ are just a handful of how great there b-sides really are.

Fog is pretty deadly, Really the only albums I don’t like by them are Kid A and Pablo Honey although its not to bad

Pablo Honey is all right, but I think everyone who is a fan of Radiohead agrees that Pablo Honey is a pretty crap album for them. Kid A though, in my own opinion is a billiant album, especially the last track Motion Picture Soundtrack, it’s just brilliant how the album seems to build up, with Idioteque being the peak of it, and then it calms down and MPS just sounds really like it’s really tired, but sounds just kind of other-worldly but really down to earth, and then when you wait for abit and then you hear that static beep that builds up into some heavenly sound which never fails to send a shiver down my spine. Kid A is definitley one of my favourites.

Looking back on my post, I sound like I’m talking alot of bollocks, but Kid A is seriously hard to put into words.

I have only heard it once and that was around 2 or 3 years ago, I’ll need to hear it again

I love radiohead especially ok computer. Every track is fantastic, truly a classic. I also loved hail to the thief aswell, with that they finnaly got back on track. Of course thats not saying Kid A was bad.

i listened to radiohead when i listened to a bunch of other stuff i needed to listen to: the flaming lips, bloc party, mars volta, muse, sigur ros, etc etc etc. didnt like any of them! out of the whole list of stuff the only one that i even remotely liked was muse and that wasnt enough to buy an album or anything.

Excellent! Perhaps we agree on more things than we previously believed!

Love Radiohead, spent ages learning the main guitar part to Paranoid Android. Pretty darn good.
