Does anybody here enjoy playing Prince of Persia as much as I do? I am a new fan to the series but I must admitt that I was shocked at how well the games are created. I just beat Prince of Persia Sands of Time and I am now working on Warrior Within. The part that won me over was the free form fighting system that allows you to come up with your own fighting style. The puzzles are also very challenging and test your gaming skills. Does anybody feel the same way about Prince of Persia? What are your views and opinions on the game?

I loved Sands of Time – it is one of the most devishly fun and addictive action games ever. But the real charm was the Prince himself, and the romantic charm of the original game – I hated the crappy ‘generic rage’ Warrior Within.
I’m glad that in the third game, they’ve half made up for it by bringing the original Prince back as well as this new, darker Prince in a convoluted plot twist!

I’ve only just start playing Sands of time. Can’t really say yet. =) But it seems good so far.

Sand of time was packed w/ some action, puzzle games with a good balance of environment friendly surroundings that lives up the Prince of Persia standards. Plus, the prince sure knows how to defend himself, another good game.

I recently got The sands of time….WOW
Pure fun, although slightly repetative a times it`s a great game and a must buy for anyone who doesn`t already have it.

I loved Sands of Time, just like everyone else. However, I also liked Warrior Within. Sure, the prince’s charm was completely gone, the female characters had no appeal at all, and the "generic rage" got annoying, but other than that, there was nothing to complain about.
The core gameplay elements from the previous game were all there, as well a couple new ones. The combat system was fairly well-developed; the puzzles and platforming segments were of the same caliber as before. Also, the multiple endings were a nice touch, although I’d hate to spoil anything by discussing them.
I’m drooling over the next game, although I don’t hold out much hope of it being less angsty than the last one. Still, if Farah is back in it, I won’t complain about a thing.

I beat Sands of Time quite awhile ago and loved it. I watched my brother beat Warrior Within but I still have yet to beat it. I enjoyed SoT, and so far, I’ve really like WW. That reminds me.. I should probably beat that game..

Haha the Prince is badass huh, anyways I am almost done with Warrior Within. Question to anyone who beat it, do you end up fighting the Dehaka at the end or ever?

There are two possible outcomes. In one of them, you do fight the Dahaka, but I’m not going to recklessly throw around spoilers.

I’ve only played the original 2D game, though I think I might start on the newer ones.

I know that they have two endings, the regular one and the hard mode one, well which one do you fight him in?

Which version of the final battle you get depends on whether you obtained the water sword or not. If you did, you get to fight the Dahaka.

Is that the last sword? If so how do I get it? If not is it too late?

You have to get all the health upgrades to unlock the water sword. It comes out of the floor in the hourglass chamber when you’ve acquired them all.

Edit: Beat the game today. Ending was pretty crazy. I didn’t like it much.

Sands of Time was absolute class and is probably one of my all time favourite games but I despise Warrior Within. Why does the Prince hit puberty and suddenly turn from a likeable gentleman into a moody bastard? Another good game published by Ubisoft at the same time as SOT was Beyond Good and Evil which is a very good adventure/platformer which you can find easily in bargain bins everywhere.

I played the original one when i was a 6 year old or something. I often played it over my freinds house. I totally loved the game. Me and my mate never finished it ’cause of the 1 hour time limit before the princes dies. (she dies u lose the game.)

It could have something to do with the constant wars he’s been fighting in and the fact that he gets chased all the time by an invincible giant monster. I know that’d make me a bit edgy. How about you? =/

I liked the Sands of Time, it was challenging and fun. I hear bad things about Warrior Within though. I haven’t completed SoT yet, I’m stuck in this room full of ropes.. Anyways, I’m gonna get WW, and after that I’ll just be looking forward to PoP3.

So it appears that we all like the Prince. The question is, will the third be as good as the last two? From what I’ve seen at E3, it looks to be nothing but better with chariot racing senarios and much more.
