learn how they’re constructed. you always have one hand free when you’re drawing, so use it as a reference. Same for your feet.

He’s right. Plus go to a bookstore and find drawing books about hands in "realism".

check out the books on the site I linked to before though. Loomis is heralded by many as the leading artist for figure drawing education(in book form!) so see if you can learn enough there before throwing down any money.

burne hogarth’s books are also quite good. i find it helps to sketch out the hand with entirely straight lines to get the shape and proportions right and then add the details.

Hiding them works! Haha, just look at your own like said before and study various pictures of them, practice drawing them. You’ll get the hang of it. I certainly haven’t perfected myself, but just by a little practice I got better!

If the hand looks wrong, analyse why it looks wrong. Not only look at where things like fingers are placed and how they look, consider the gaps between the fingers. And most definately look at your own hands. It’s practise from there.

I suck at feet, I can only draw boots and shoes. But with hands, hhhmmmmm, I usually put gloves on my characters, but I just put a circle then shape it from there.

It’s really hard to explain, but it takes practice I guess. Hm I suggest you get examples of other’s drawings, and analyze how they draw. I can draw hands, and feet no prob, but I really don’t know how to explain it to you.

I just trace drawings to practice, then I try and do some of my own, it worked pretty good for me.
