I just received a new copy of FFVII and i am having difficulties finding suitable conjuctions for the Emerald and Ruby weapons. I havent played this game since about 2000, so im a lil rusty lol. i recall someone saying that they had their materia set up in a way that they had to attack once and the materia combonations did the rest for them. i would really like to know what was done, because i have so much trouble with the weapons….

I like casting raegen on my crew, but i’m sure it doesn’t make too much of a diff. when you fight the weapons. Maybe it simply wastes a turn. I’m not too masterful at battling them myself yet. I still haven’t beat all of them either. I guess it’s because i’m always distracted by life! One tip is to make sure you master your primary magic early in the game. I’ve mastered most by going to Junon and running laps arround that long hall with the soldiers in formation being drilled. You have to press the alarm an er’ thing’ll turn red and BAM! You’ll have mastered materia on disc 1 in no time.

Counter attack(x16)is a good one.He hits you you hit him back 8 times.16×9999=Weapon dead very quickly.

x16?! i personaly dont want to fill my materia slots with counter…
Ive been to Gamefaqs, but im not positive as to wether or not they work as well as they should…
could you use counter with 4x cut?
if so then couldnt you use that in all of them and hit 32 times?

a classic is pheonix+final attack
after you use a limit (eg.omnislash) wait untill their turn again and then use mime
there was a thread on this a while ago look back a couple of pages and there should be some good ones

It doesn’t work that way.16 is a bit overkill.8 will proably do.
