Xenogears or Xenosaga?

We all know that a bunch of ex-Squaresoft guys who developed Xenogears was the one responsible for creating Namco’s Xenosaga series. But which game is the best? I’d still choose Xenogears (Fei is better than Chaos!).

im sry to disagree but i like Xenosaga! i luv the battles! Sry to dissagree but ive never played Xenogears, it’s probably pretty fun also. ill i have to try it later, but for now Xenosaga. Sry if that’s not what u expected to hear.

For my part, I’m currently playing through both of them simultaneously. I’m about 30 hours into Xenosaga and 45 hours into Xenogears. So far, I like Xenogears a lot more simply because it still has me guessing about a lot of things because of its superior pacing, whereas Xenosaga drops things in chunks so big that I never really have to think about it.

I can’t say I prefer one battle system over the other, but the world map in Xenogears gets on my nerves sometimes because navigating it can be pretty confuzzling. Also, I haven’t seen one of those nice anime cutscenes in far too long.

I liked Xenogears much more than I liked Xenosaga. Waltal rules!

I didn’t finish Xenosaga, so I’m not sure if I should even reply to this. But I say Xenogears, for much the same reason as Don Prakleone. In Xenosaga, I would take a couple hours in a "dungeon," and once I got past the boss, I would be treated to an hour of cutscenes and have everything dropped on me at once. Granted, Disc 2 of Xenogears sucks, but I still take it over Xenosaga, for the superior pacing, battle system, cooler "mechs," (gears, AGWS, whatever) and for the anime factor.

I have to give it to Xenogears.

Xenosaga II was closer to the game it wanted to be, improving the gameplay a great deal. Yet the story loses and edge the Xenosaga I had and the operatic manner Xenogears had perfected.

I hated Xenosaga. I loved Xenogears.

i played xenosaga episode 1 and it sucked, the story was retarded and the only thing i liked about it was the battle system, the battles themselves were no fun.

i havent played xenogears but its the next rpg im going to get for my playstation, i hear from everyone whos played it that its one of their favorite rpgs
