I’m so tempted to tell you what this game is about, but maybe I’ll let Prak come in here and give his two cents before I give mine.

Ah well, I have nothing better to do with my time.

I’ll be honest with you. If you’re under 18, you might just love it. The game is sub-par with an inconsistent, incomplete story, poorly developed characters, overly linear progression, and more bugs than I could count when I played it, but kids love it. Adults, on the other hand, tend to find it pretty crappy when playing it for the first time and much less enjoyable (only salvaged by nostalgia value) when revisiting it.

The fact is there’re much better games out there, but FFVII has the regrettable appeal of being a stupidly easy game with a simplistic plot that pretends it’s deeper than it really is. What more can children ask for?
