I write poetry every now and then, whenever I feel like I need to express myself on paper. Here’s a poem entitled "Vanish" I wrote about a year ago. This is a metaphorical based poem, and envokes lots of thought in the opinions of those who have read it so far. Please, enjoy. 🙂

"Vanish"

I try to grip onto the depths of reality versus fantasy
But my hands slip, is this a form of blasephmy
It’s so hard to differentiate pleasure from pain
Because my heart is scarred from the dark rain
My fingers are getting numb; is this the end
My mentality keeps me from doing it again
Darkness blocks my sense of awareness
Is God heartless? Because he is careless
My feet are sinking; almost time to disappear
What was I thinking; confronting my worst fear
My legs are shaking, panic from being nervous
My mind’s making death bring me first class service
Am I going insane? My arms are not visible
Is it too late to change my life’s principles?
My chest is about to break; what can I do
I have no doubts that what’s happening is true
My face turns into wounds; I failed to vanquish
My soul slowly burns as I completely Vanish

This is very interesting. I like the use of your language and how indeed it is metaphorical in many ways. It’s very saddening, but rightly so, it evokes good reader response. It’s a well-done piece for any un-professional a poet, very very well done. It does make me think and ponder about life and pain and God. Not many poems can evokes such thought patterns sincerely.

I like how you used "Vanish" as the title and in the last line, it gives a good effect.

I’ll be eagerly awaiting any more of your works.

Eh, who’s Krysia?

Thanks Squalls_lover, appreciate the love. 🙂 😎 lol

Yeah I tried to make it so someone could interpret it the way they wanted, but still have the idea of what I was talking about in it, and let them put their own meaning to the analogies, but you got everything on the dot. 🙂
