Well as much as I love The Mountain Goats, Love Love Love by The Queers is just one of the most classic tunes ever written. It’s everything a great rock song should be: Catchy as hell, with great, true lyrics and no overblown pretentious showboating. A clear winner!

I was going to vote maybe Mountain Goats until I saw the special option made just for me!

Well, I had to consider this for a while myself. Both are great songs, though not among my absolute favourites from what I’ve heard of each artist. The Queers is a really fun pop-punk song, but I am complete sucker for John Darnielle too.

But I think I will have to go with The Mountain Goats, because of my weakness for literate (but not overdone) lyrics and the fact that I would listen to it no matter how I was feeling, whereas The Queers is for when I just wanna have fun.

And I see Liz has voted Mountain Goats without posting why! Regardless, Mountain Goats are currently in the lead!
