Breath of Fire 6 rumors.

I heard about rumors of a Breath of Fire 6 project. I read it somewhere, but Dragon-Tear hasn’t heard much, has anybody here heard anything at all?

A sixth installment for the Breath of Fire series… hmmm…. Considering that Breath of Fire II was the first console RPG I ever played (and fell in love with), all I can say about a BoFVI is, I sincerely hope CAPCOM learnt their lesson from Breath of Fire V Dragon Quarter (The absolute WORSE BoF game, IMO)., and actually THINK about how to make a good game again.

But then again, I could be wishing for too much.

I didn’t mind BoFV so much, it was a very innovative game. But there are some things htey could do better. I loved the battle system, but hated the dragon system that they put it into it. But I think they should get Hideo Kojima to write the story.

i have childhood memorys of BOF… i played one on ps1.. i cant remember which one it was though? i think it was 3 or 4. i can kinda remember the cover, it had a lady in red on it i think.. and the game was about the kid and at the start of the game your a purple dragon and you have to go around killin the miners cos they caght you. then i think they catch you again and they put you on a train but your carrige falls off then these 2 guys come ( i think they were theifs) and they take you under their wing and then you leave and you can choose were you go.. and dependin on wich derection you go, you get different allys.. i allways ended up gettin the theifs from the start.. well i absolutly LOVED that game! i played 1 and 2 but didnt like em much.. and then i played another one on ps1 (i think it was 5) and i hated it!

so goin back to my last post.. can anyone tell me which BOF (from my descripition) it was so i can play that beautiful game once more?

I forgot to mention the part where they could sell it to Konami so it’d actually get some attention rather than be shadowed by Capcom’s huge cash cows. God, I’m lacking in my posts latly

Breath of fire 1 – 3 were awesome, some of my fav RPG games ever! other than final fantasy and Suikoden! i heard BOFIV wasnt very good so i dont have very high hopes for BOFVI tho! 🙁

The one you are after is Breath Of Fire III for the PS1, I remember ic because you start off in Dauna mine, and two guys try and blow up the crystal you are in and then you have to fight them as the dragon! what a game that was! so many memories! 🙂

What i meant to say before was that 1 – 4 were awesome and IV was meant to be shitty! oops!

IV’s the best, Fou-Lu is a villain with depth, unlike that other white haired guy on FF7.

i never knew that they made a breath of fire 5….. ive played 1,3,4. Where can i get 5. is it worth buying.

Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter is a great game. It gets mixed reviews, but it’s a very innovative game.

I thoroughly enjoyed DQ, though I thought of it as more of an aside than a main installment in the series.

DQ is technically 5. But I enjoyed it a lot too. I beat it and got 1/64 for my rank.
