Hi All,
As Many of you Know, FFXII Is Gradually Aproaching Us at A Snail’s Pace.
For Me It Will Be A little longer Wait, as i Live In Australia.

I am thinking of Getting a RPG Type Game to Pass the Time With, as Nothing New Has Really Caught my Eye as Of Yet, so i was wondering of your opinions of a couple of games I’m considering playing, and I’m A Massive FF Fan, so will i enjoy these too?

The first game I’m Thinking of Would Be Kingdom Hearts
Another Would Be That Star Ocean Game.

Also Are there Any Other Games that Someone would Suggest for A massive FF Fan to play?

Sorry if this is a Stupid Thread.

Thankyou,
FFEnjoy

(1) I can’t stand Kingdom Hearts and would recommend you avoid it like the plague, but I’m in the vast minority here. I’ve stated my arguments in other threads and am too lazy to type them all out again.

(2) Star Ocean 3 is a pretty good game, however I haven’t gotten myself to complete it yet. I’ll get round to it one of these days.

I can’t really recommend anything else, because most of the RPGs I’ve played on the PS2 haven’t really caught my attention beyond the FF series. I guess I’ve just chosen the wrong games to play, but there we go~

I say go for SO. I don’t like Kingdom Hearts much, either.

Out of the two listed, I’d suggest Star Ocean Til the End of Time (SO3). I’ve finished it with only about 8 of the eighty odd (I think it is…. That’s what I read in a FAQ that is…) endings to the game. Kingdom Hearts… I am NOT a fan of anything that damned Mickey Mouse organisation touches (Except the movie Pirates of the Carribean of course).

I’d also steer far away from Suikoden 4 as well. Only the first two Suikoden games (On the PSX) are worthwhile, I haven’t played the third so I can’t comment on that (Only because Konami didn’t think it was financially wise to translate Suikoden 3 for PAL territories), but Suikoden 4…. Ugh…. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Or, as the Daleks from Doctor Who used to say…. EXTERMINATE, EXTERMINATE!!

Big on FF, play some of the classics like Chrono Cross or Chrono Trigger, But the best Star Ocean was Star Ocean 2, that game rocked. Any Zelda game, id mostly recomend The orcarina of time or a link to the past, the only really good ones.

I never liked kingdom hearts either, too childish for me. You could always play dragoon legend. Great game and the characters looked sick.
