Last Names for FF Characters: Yes Or No?

do you think ff characters should have last names?

me… i think characters should have last names, because we do, and it makes them look more real in who they are.

Yeah definitely. I remember one of my friends and I once tried to come up with surnames for all the FFVII characters that didn’t already have them.

No, I don’t think they’d do that. They’ve given every other character last names.

i think they got tired of thinking, and they think that since ff is just a game, and its characters aren’t real, they didn’t put last names on them. they probably think, "What’s the big deal about last names?"

Maybe the people of that world just don’t have last names… It’s really not hard to figure that out.

I just recognized, almost any main villain of FF didn’t have a last name. I think only exception is Seymour Guado…if you count that as a last name…

thats so its harder to identify with a character with no last name since everyone has one. the games wouldn’t seem so epic if you were fighting people called Dave Sephiroth or Ultimecia Smith.

Well, I like it if they do have last names, but I don’t care if they don’t. I believe they have last names, but it is not always important to show them.

I mean, in most other games the characters have no last names….Hero’s don’t need it. 😉

Most FF’s heroes and playable characters do have last names, only exception I think are the FFX chars…FFX really seems outta everything.

it’ll probably sound better if they had last names, and probably seem like more of a real character with a last name.

with last names the characters seem more real but i dont really mind if they do or not..

I think the main characters should have a first and a surname, because they are the characters we are intrested in learning about ( at least if the game is any good we should be interested)

Well, I think it depends on the character. I mean most probably should but characters like Gogo shouldnt. When i say that I mean characters that probably wouldnt or whose names are abstract like shadow

shadow would be like a code name or something for a character…

There is a shadow, and Im pretty sure thats the only name they give him, hes in FFVI

because that’s like his screen name in the game…

i like FF8 coz they gave last names to the characters. lol

FF characters ought to have last names, but not everyone, some others should have changed names (imagine that kuja’s real name is anything else like Robert Pastrami) including Summons

Yes they should because they add more details about the character. The more details the better.
