help with limit breaks please?

i’m trying to get everyones top limit breaks. i’ve got Reds and cids, but i cant seem to make them learn it. at the moment they’re listed under items. so i click on "cosmo memory" then click to use it for red and he’ll say something like "nothing to do with me". how to get them to learn the limit breaks? thanks x

You need to get to their 2nd Level 3 Limit Break before teaching the final ones. To do this, you must use the most recent limit break a certain number of times, but I can’t remember how to do it

To use the limit break items, your characters must have learned all the other limits at first. To learn all the limits, each character must kill as many monsters as possible and use their limits. Someone you don’t use, will never get all the limits. And this also means, even if you have the item for you special limit, they will keep telling you "nothing to do with me" and things like that. 😉

thankyou, i sort of figured that out an hour or so ago, hehe. all these years of playing the game and i didnt realise there was a "limit" option on the menu! duh! turns out that had learnt up to limit 3, most of them, but i hadnt switched it over and they were stil using old limit breaks. but cheers for everyones help. x

if you didnt change em…you would never be able to get to level 3. Here is how it goes. Im using cloud as an example…but everyone is the same.

Level 1 Limit Breaks
Braver <–You start out with this one
Cross Slash <–You have to use Braver 8 times to obtain this
Level 2 Limit Breaks
Blade Beam <–You have to defeat 80 enemies (in any way) to obtain this one
Chimhazzard <–You have to use Blade Beam 7 times to obtain this one
Level 3 Limit Breaks
Meteorain <–You have to defeat an additional 80 enemies to obtain this one
Finishing Touch <–You have to use Meteorain 6 times
Level 4 Limit Breaks
Omnislash <–I believe that you have to yet again defeat an additional 80 enemies to be able to use their manual limits on em…but not entirely sure.

but see why what you said was impossible…to get the second level 2 limit break..you have to use the first level 2 limit break 8 times….and since you didnt set it…that is impossible…but here was some handy information on limit breaks jus incase someone didnt know this
