FFX loads black screen

i was playing and finished kilika. I was on the boat and talked to all the guys when there was in between a cut scene a same game prompt. Of course i saved the game then and location says "Near Luca". However after i saved that i turned off my ps2 because i had to eat dinner. Unfortunately when i load the game now, it only shows a black screen.

IMO it’s because it’s not playing the cutscene taht was meant to be after it. Does anyone know how i can fix this?

P.S a soft reset, L1+L2+R1+R2+select+start does not work! <– weird?

try cleaning the disk, then retry the section

maybe just wait for ages, a tip to all of you, save your game twice, like save your first save in 1, then your second in 2, then your third overwrite the number 1, so if one save goes rong you olny have a short amount of stuff lost, i do this all the time with them and the game does fail to load so im glad i do

I usually do that, but because my sister likes to save over my game files, so I put one in Slot 1 and the other in Slot 99

i wonder if anybody uses all 99 save files…

On my first play through of FFX, I used all 99 for the game. Every time I visited a new save sphere, I saved to a new slot. Now I’m down to about 52 slots. Why? So I can visit any point in the game easily.

I did the same thing except I got about 55 slots becuase I have a few files that I used the game shark on for max everything

Jeez, the times my ffx game crashed is un believable, or woulldn’t load etc.
Thats why i also saved in different slots!
