TEKKEN VS DEAD OR ALIVE

it think both of them are great beat’em up games..personally i like tekken the most. how bout u guys?

Tekken by far for me. I like Hwoarang he kicks ass.

Dead or Alive, while visually appealing, really has no real heart of gameplay. The fighting system is too simplified that it does not take much to really master it and it doesn’t take much to take down a master at the game.

DoA can be a quickie fighting game play but otherwise it is pretty much an empty game.

I would take Tekken 3 over any iteration of DoA or SC any day.

DoA is just the same every single time, and it isn’t a challenge at all, so I pick Tekken.

Dead or alive seemed alot more fast paced, the characters are cool too!

Cooler than an evil child who throws his father in a waterfall, then unleashes "Devil" so that no one can beat him, then that person is killed by his father who throws him in a volcano. Before that, that man had a child with a pure woman who was later killed by an evil entity and that son born of evil and good seeks out his grandfather, the man who killed his father. Kid beats that dark entity and is betrayed by his grandfather, unleashing the darkness in the kid. Then, the boy’s father is brought back to life and he seeks to destroy his son and his father. Now…Tekken 5!

D.O.A. is fast paced and has some pretty spectacular moves but it’s pretty shallow compared to Tekken, especially since they brought back Baek for 5. 🙂

i think so, each of the characters have their own story. im not sure if thats wat they meant but i thought it was good.^^

I just got TEKKEN 5 a few weeks ago n i have 2 say, the nxt dead or alive instalment (if there is gonna b 1) betta come up with somthing spectacular with a great review in order 2 beat TEKKEN. Personaly i dnt think dats gonna happen. So for me its TEKKEN all the way…..:) (best character in TEKKEN 5: DEVIL JIN by far)

Well, I guess I thought DOA just doesn’t have a very intriguing storyline to me.

DoA:Ultimate is much better than Tekken 5.

I like Virtua Fighter 4 more than both of those series! The only bad part about it is that they left out Akira’s "Stun Palm of Doom" tech that was in Virtua Fighter 2.

DoA.. has the strangest story line of any game I’ve ever played…

I mean it is not to say that storylines make a fighting game (they really don’t), but if you sit down and think about it…

Kasumi is a Run-Away Ninja who wants revenge on Hayate
Hayate gets beat up badly and was involved in some revival project and suffers from anmesia.
Ayame was born out of rape by Raidoh (or whatever his name is) and Kasumi’s mother.
Everyone else who is in the tournament has some dumb depressing story that comes along with it EXCEPT for Hitomi, who just wants to beat the crap outta people.

And finally out of fucking nowhere, Tengu beats you up.

I say to Hitomi "Move to Tekken and make friends with Asuka."

He’s the most charismatic character in Dead or Alive.

Also I prefer DOA but I don’t hate Tekken.
