In Need of Assistance…

I am currently fighting the Angra Mainyu at the end of the game in Bikanel Desert and having a devilish time trying to beat it. Any suggestions?

You’ve never heard of catnip?!? Well, I just used search and didn’t find anything on the exact strategy although I’ll bet there’s so many out there, but I guess it can’t hurt to put it up again. Go to Cloister 40 of Via Infinito, get catnip, have a gunner with trigger happy level 3 and be in critical status and you win.

Cloister 40 is to hard to get to. I can’t get past the dragon after I defeat Kinoc in Cloister 20.

ill tell you the stragedy i used…
make yuna and paine dark knights and just keep doing darkness with them so that it attacks all three dudes at the same time
have rikku be a alchemist,make her cast reflect on the girls so the flare attack will hurt angra instead of you,after that just keep making mega-potions every turn so paine and yuna can keep going with darkness.
if the 2 guys with angra are both dead for the moment then u can go ahead and give a all-out attack on angra with every1

Hmm… that sounds like a good stragedy…….maybe I’m gonna try …..

My tactic for Angra Mainyu that worked was to get two dark knights and a lady luck,(dark knights Paine and Rikku, lady luck yuna) with 2 iron dukes equipped to both! ahh, new game + keep all your items! I had to play the game 7 times through to get this but it was worth it!

You’re talking about the Elder Drakes? Those are all avoidable if you know the right switches to press, or you run by at the proper time, depending on which particular obstacles you’re facing.

Not necessarily. There is one Elder Drake that is impossible to avoid, but there are ways to beat it. Ensure you have at least one Beserker, that knows Evade and Counter and Auto-Regen, then just keep attacking to win, cause the Elder Drake can’t hit you!

There are no Elder Drakes that are impossible to avoid. They are all avoidable. You tell me which one it is you think is supposedly unavoidable and I’ll tell you how to get around it. They start showing up in random battles after Cloister 80, but those you can escape from if you still need to.

theres a lvl where u have to jump into a pit and in that pit is a drake

And there’s also a platform or a switch (I think a platform) that will make it so that you can go over the Elder Drake. If my memory serves me correctly, the path for it is just to the left after you enter the area.

Just beat the game 3 times and get the catnip and key to success for every character. Then have At least one dark knight and get your hp low and use black rain, it will do 9999 ablut 7 times. Also have at least one alchemist with the ability mega potion and one of what ever. I had a berzerker. Hope this helps. =)
