gliding over the countryside
the knightly hugo, arms of steel
his love for lilly, he will not confide

he takes her to castle yonder.
hugo formulates a knightly plan
and so his mind begins to wander

burn the dark castle with rage of fire?
hugo must make decision fast
lilly is in danger and time is dire
over the rolling hills of green
hugo rides his stallion of steel
he reaches the castle’s drawbridge
with no option but to kill
invading dragon’s castle of doom
hugo searches for the throne
he reaches the dungeon only to find
his young lilly all alone
he searches to find golden key
to unlock the giant dungeon door
he turns around and finds, giant dragon
who wants to settle the score
hugo pulls out his broad sword
and slashes at dragon throat
a whiff of air, a miss
hugo grasps his shield of gold
dragon releases his breath of fire
hugo ducks beneath the shield
dragon has no REMORSE
his dragon attacks will not yield
giant dragon swings his claw
the shield takes the brunt of the attack
with a boost of speed, hugo jumps
and starts to mount his attack
slashing, swinging, hugo’s sword
cuts through dragon flesh
a wing falls to the dungeon ground
hugo is the best
the dragon is slain, a key falls
from the dungeon’s ceiling of bones
lilly is free, hugo is heroic
lilly and hugo finally go home.
