99 sphere levels!?

hey guys, i don’t know if any of you got 99 sphere levels in just one battle, and without killing the enemy, but here’s a pretty cool trick my friend gave me for leveling up fast.

he told me to have don tonberry unlocked in the monster arena (i forgot which creation type…).
then have all my characters equipped with weapons that has abilities of overdrive to ap, triple overdrive, and triple ap.
then have tidus, or any character kill lots and lots of enemies.
then put the two characters in overdrive comrade mode, while tidus or the one who killed lots of enemies called sacrificial character, would be in overdrive stoic mode.
then get into battle with don tonberry with the weapons mentioned above, equipped.
then, while tonberry was far far away, attack him with the sacrificial character which should die in one attack from don tonberry cuz of your enemies killed, while the others just continue to defend, and revive the sacrificial characters cuz it will die mostly.
after six or seven turns, or when don tonberry is nearby, flee from battle or change your equipped weapon and finish him off.

then enjoy watching the exp counter which is like 2000000+ exp…

You get more AP if the sacrificial character has a lower max HP. You can also fight the Cactuar King if you haven’t defeated enough enemies.

or change your equipped weapon and finish him off.actually, if you want the exp bonus, you can’t change the weapon throughout the entire battle. but if you wanted to beat him, you’d change characters to one that had their celestial weapon.

Yeah, this is a pretty standard trick, I used it to great effect on my games and will probably use it again.

yes i used triple ovrdrive and triple overdrive-ap and sos overdrive
then you set you set overdrive to when caracters hp is low and i used it in omega dun
and then i take my time killing them except for malboro his hard at first
