There were no sequels to any Final Fantasy game until the release of X-2, which was a direct sequel to X. Then came VII’s slew of sequels, prequels, and the like… A lot of people thought that it was horrible idea to create them. I myself was never too keen on the idea of Square deciding our favorite characters’ fates in the future… I always believed it should be up to the fans’ minds to decide. Then came the infamous XII. Yes, XII… It’s not supposed to be a sequel, right? It’s the first game in years that would actually portray a new story! NOT! Most of you, I am assuming, have played Tactics. It takes place in the world of Ivalice. IVALICE. Um, isn’t XII supposed to be in Ivalice!? XII even has the same prologue, same world setting, and most of the crew that produced/created the original FFT. WTF? Is Final Fantasy XII really a sequel after all? You decide…

Why can’t we have bright noobs? No. FFXII is not a direct sequel. Sure, it takes place in Ivalice, but both Tactics and Tactics Adavance do too, I know that they have nothing to do with each other in terms of storyline, so I would consider XII just another game set in a place called Ivalice.
Geez, I was just saying something that has been bothering me lately… It’s not like I said that it was true or not… No need to get mean about it… 🙁 I was saying that I wished that Square would create a new world instead of making us return to Ivalice. Well, that’s what I meant anyway…

Well, like I said, that’s what I meant…. I thought that everyone could figure that out when they read it but apparently I wasn’t specific enough…. I apologize for being a horrible explainer… :erm: He stated his opinion and that’s fine. I have no problem with that.
