Do you think FF8 needs a sequel?

Well, i have asked this to all of my friends and they agree they just don’t what it would be about..

What do you guys think?

I see no need for a sequel on this game, the original was pretty good but there wasn’t really anything unfinished that could trigger a sequel in VIII.

Yeah, I don’t see a need for a sequel on this one either.

The story is complete there is nothing to go off of to make a sequel.

It’s pretty unnecessary, but it’d be interesting to see what they could come up with.

ah i would hope square would learn from their mistakes although i enjoyed ffx2 greatly i feel it was unecessary and as for final fantasy 7 im only interested in advent child other than thta i only wnat new stuff besides ff8 is complete and ff7 ended slightly sorta uncomplete.

There is no reason for one.All the loose ends are tied.The ending doesnt leave you curious or anything like that.

A sequel? nah. like everybody else said, the ending was sactisfactory and ended well. but instead of a sequel, they should remake the game. i love ff8, but me and my bro agree that graphics are kind of…… grainy and bad 😛 i love the story, they shouldn’t change one thing there, but they could change the graphics (they should do it with 7 in addition to AC) and the system. juctioning was original, but way too confusing. it takes me at least an hour to set up just the three characters 😛

EDIT: Now that I’ve thought about a sequel, I think they should do a PREquel. Laguna’s Story. I mean, he is in the story and we

know that laguna married raine and they had/adopted(not sure which) ellone
but it was very confusing to tell just about anything about him. i think it would be nice if they had more on laguna

Screw what i said….i saw the final part yesterday (yes i completed FFVIII….finally!_ and was slightly disspointed i hoped there’d be alot longer FMV involving all the guys…even though there was some….but stll i wouldn’t mind an FFVIII movie…

THERES NOTHING TO GO OFF OF TO MAKE A SEQUEL!!!! ALL THE LOSE ENDS ARE TIED UP IN THE END!! Out of all the FF’s 8 has got to be the most complete.
