Calm Lands Question!!!

I am on my second time playing ffx and i have just come across a man standing in the calm lands saying he will not move unless something nifty happens.
So you cannot get past him.
What do i have to do here?
His approximate co-ordination on the CL map is North North West.

That is where Tidus’ last weapon is. Yo uneed that Celestial Mirror, which I think you get in Macalania Forest.

You need the Celestial mirror to make it useful, but not to get past him, to get past him defeat the chocobo trainer in the Catcher Chocobo Race thing.

Oh, I remember that. Hold on *ruffles* *finds game walkthrough* Um, it say here that "If you win a race against the chocobo trainer standing but a few feet away from you, he will move and you will recieve Tidus’s celestial weapon provided you have the celestial mirror" That okay hunni?

on the floor in the calm lands, this time it isn’t there!! Hmm!

That’s probably because you used an Al Bhed Compiliation Sphere beforehand.

umm i dont think u have to beat the chocobo trainer to get past the person. u get a sun sigil which u will use upgrade tidus’s weapon. after a regular race even if u lose he shouldve moved to watch the race. correct me if im wrong.

I always thought you had to win all four chocobo races (just win, not at 0:0:0), and have the Celestial Mirror.

Well either way, you have to win all four races.
