The defining gaming moment!

Everone has a defining moment in gaming, whether it’s completing a game for the first time, taking your first step into hyrule or catching ’em all in pokemon red.

For me, it was the first time I played a Tribes match with the first clan I was a member of. There were only four of us taking on twenty others, but we completely raped them. I haven’t been happy with simple deathmatch games ever since.

Probably defeating Braska’s Final Aeon one shot with Yojimbo.

But if I complete any Zelda games it’s fairly defining because most of them are really hard to complete.

Finding the secret staircase in Dracula X or finding out there was a second quest in Zelda.

when i got my first kill on counter-strike…….ahh memories.

Having Mario rescue Pauline.

Witnesing the ultimate power of Sepiroths Super Nova. I was like wow and now show great respect to all last bosses.

Probally the best for me was killing the last boss in Ogre Battle 64 in one round when the guide said it was impossible, Also when I beat Zelda 64 for the first time.

Heh. I did that too. I love doing things those stupid guides say you can’t do.

While I was playing Red Faction, there was a room full of enemies the guide said you had to just run through because you couldn’t possibly kill them all. Fifteen minutes later, I was laughing at that piece of scrap paper amidst the corpses of the horde it said to run away from. I also used the rail driver to kill the final boss because the guide said she was too fast for it.

Beating Super Hangon on Arcade mode AND the other mode, can’t remember, when you had a mechanic and a sponser etc.

Completing FFX easily while the rest of the family struggled to get to Zanarkand.

When I first played as Fou-Lu on Breath of Fire IV.

FINALLY beating Zelda: Link’s Awakening over Xmas… had the ORIGINAL version since I’ve had an old-style gameboy (which I love muchly!)… only took me…well… since Christmas ’89 … they just don’t make games like they used to! *sniff*

Finally beating FF8 after 1 whole year of being challenged against Ultemicia
