Ok, I just started this game…. It’s good so far. But, what’s the deal with the types of attacks? (standard, high angle, etc.) Which ones should I used and in which combos? Is there really any difference?

Some types of attacks are more effective depending on the type of enemy. For instance, high angle attacks are useful on upright humanoid enemies such as the skeleton zombies you first encounter or the Paladins later in the game. High angle attacks are also very good for combos because sometimes your follow-up attacks can miss depending on how high or low the enemy is. High angle attacks will send the enemy up, which makes you much more likely to be able to hit them with a hard-hit attack, depending on which character you use.

Hard Hit attacks are most useful for breaking an enemy combo. They’ll force the enemy out of range. I haven’t really found much a use for knock down, but I think it’s effective on small flying enemies. If you use a knock down attack in a combo, you should follow with standard attack. It makes it easier to hit the enemy. If the enemy is small, high angle attacks won’t work with knock downs.

Standard attacks usually won’t move an enemy out of combo range unless said enemy is already at the outer edge of the combo range.

And that’s about all I’ve discovered. Hope it helps.

Ahhh that works. Thanks.

For knock down, I think it’s supposed to temporarily stun heavy creatures. Or at least, that’s what it suggests in the in-game help thing.

I also have another question.

About 4-person combo’s. Let’s say, you have 2 people ready to do a combo, and you move a third in there. Before you have a chance to move the last person, it becomes the turn of one of the characters already going to do a combo. Is there anything at all you can do to avoid doing a 3-person combo? Or, away to wait, giving your last person a chance to get in there?

Or, do you have to make your 3 people gather around the person of yours who will move last?

Sorry if that didn’t make all that much sense… It’s a bit hard to explain.

It doesn’t matter how you do it. The computer will automatically interpret it as 4-person combo regardless of who you set your fourth person to combo with. The camera only makes some of the characters disappear so you can see exactly where the character you’re commanding will be placed.
