Seifer and Sqaull are more alike than you think!

Seifer and Sqaull I beleive are the only two people who understand eachother, They share plenty of veiwpoints and personally the only key difference between them is that they react to people differently. And maybe they dont always go about it the same way but they would probably be thinking the same thing in most situations.

I agree actually, the only thing that differs is their reactions. I personally think that if they didn’t fight over who was better all the time, they’d make brilliant friends as well as team mates! Can you imagine Seifer fighting with Squall rather than against him? (I know you do in Dollet but I meant in Disc 4!)

Hm interesting post…(tis just a shame about me not caring) but i have to agree , they are similar . Almost like brothers with a rivalry prob , it would be great if they fought on the same side though.

When you got to play Seifer I thought it was Great if they ever made a sequel to FF it would be awesome, Or what if Seifer and Sqaull both had a limit break they did together

I just think they’re both cranky and irate. Otherwise, their goals were pretty different, at least through the bulk of the game. Seifer wanted to be important and to have power, and Squall just wanted to be left alone. Evil-Edea was able to use Seifer’s hatred emotion against him, which Squall didn’t have. He may have been an ass, but hate was something he didn’t feel. I think the only two things they have in common are the fact that they shield their true feelings with a false persona (of which I think Squall’s is more false than Seifer’s) and their (awful) taste in women.

I always felt that although they do end up as rivals, at the beginning they were best friends. They talked to each other a lot and Squall even said he liked him in Galbadia Garden. I love both characters, and I always believed that they were truly best friends, even if they ended up as rivals, they were best friends.

Hey! You forgot the most obvious thing! They both use gunblades!!

Here’s a way they’re the same: Both of them have friends that tag-along with them.
Here’s the difference: Seifer at times disregards his friends and treats them badly, but they’re still his loyal friends and they eventually get back together. As for Squall, at first, he doesn’t even really think of them as friends. It’s his closed personality, not wanting open up to anyone. But eventually, it turns out that they’re all actually a whole lot more than just friends.

That’s why they’re rivals, because they’re so alike, one want’s to be better than the other to prove that they are not alike so the other may feel superior. Plus Squall was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better looking than Seifer would ever be, so Seifer got jelous.

🙂 Except Seifer has a much-better posse than Crabbe and Goyle. Raijin and Fujin, especially Fujin, are really cool, while Crabbe and Goyle just, well, suck.
