Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (spoilers)

I forgot why I stopped playing it. I just put it in my GC, and…oh yeah.

On the last castle (I assume it’s the last, anyways), you fight Hooktail’s big brother. Well, I didn’t know what was ahead of me, so I went into the other castle on the other side of the courtyard and got a key. Then I beat Hooktail’s brother, and saved it. I always overwrite my files.

WELL, it appears as though the first room requires you to hit a switch BEFORE you get the first key. You have to get the other seven keys, and then return and hit the other switch. Which I didn’t do.

I don’t see any ways to reverse this. I’ve tried going to all the other places hoping that the key would disappear and I could just get it again. So far, I’ve had no luck.

Is there any possible way I can return this key or get it to disappear so I can continue with the game?! I’ve spent SO long perfecting it. I’m on level 70 or something.

I’ll try to help, but I just reached Chapter 5 of the game.

I know what to do in the rest of the game, so I can help if you have problems. I’m probably 10 minutes away from beating it, and this shit happens.
