Look around and I’m surrounded by hypocrites
But if you question their integrity they lose their composure and throw fits

So quick to break down and turn to violence
But I keep my mouth closed and hold my silence

I watched my friends die and the others walk away from me
With their minds lost they leave me unfaithfully

Damn near every piece of pain was faced on my own
Still they give me no reason why I have to face it alone

Month by month, year to year, I watch them all disappear
Faces I’ve seen every day fade away and all I can do is sigh
Do you really want to be the next one who leaves without saying goodbye?

I was assaulted by strangers who recieved a joke of a sentence
The judge said I was no better so I said fuck the system before he could finish

The flow of riches goes into the pockets of the wicked one
While the honest hard workin man gets pissed on

You can’t trust anyone everyone is deceivin
How can I continue with nothin to believe in?

Urghhh. The moment "fuck the system" came into it, it reaked of rage against the machine. I’m sorry man, but it’s just too rap-artist-esque, too generic.
