– Timesplitters 3: Future Perfect
– Final Fantasy XII (Although release in Japan is summertime so I doubt Britain will get it until 2006).
– The Legend of Zelda (I also think that this will be delayed until 2006, but I am trying to be hopeful)
– Tekken 5 (Well, just looking forward to seeing how it fares aganist the superior Soul Calibur II)
– MGS3: Snake Eater (You americans have this already but I have to wait ’till March :()
– Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (Looking forward to it, and especially anticipating the online mode, which I hope will have improved since Pandora Tomorrow)
– Boiling Point: Road To Hell (For those who havent heard of it, its a part FPS part RPG. it should be interesting to see how it does).
There are others, but these are the main ones really. After some big letdowns, like The Getaway: BM, and Killzone I hope we’ll have some good games this year!
Conker: Live and Reloaded – I bought an X-box specifically for this game and I fully expect it to kick ass.
Resident Evil 4 – Not REALLY looking forward to it, but it’s on my list.
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory – Love Sam Fisher.
To me it’s not so obvious that FFXII will the best new game, there are alot of better games going to be released this year. Hence I’m waiting for WoW.
Keep dreaming about FFXII being great :/ Unless the battle system changes lots, this could be the first failure, imho.
I’m looking forward to –
– The american PSP launch!
– Conker
– God of War
The Legend of Zelda
Honestly I was disapointed with Guild Wars. They have various good ideas but they seem to miss something though. 🙁
And they cheated, it isn’t truly a RPG like nowadays, the just have tonnes of zones and those on their turn hold the players, that’s why it’s free. I heard alot of people whining about that it’s free will make the game crap. That is untrue, it’s quite a good game, but to me just above average.
Gran Turismo 4
Final Fantasy XII
God of war
Shawdow of rome
Kingdom hearts 2
Devil may cry 3
Tenchu: Fatal shawdows
Gamecube
Legend of Zelda
Mario 128(hopefullly 2005)
Resident evil 4
Starfox:Assault
Mario baseball
Xbox
Conker live and reloaded
Advent rising
Doom 3
Oddworld Strangers wrath
Jade Empire
Guild Wars
and hopefully Nippon Ichi will come out with a few new titles
Tekken 5 ( Because I am a Tekken Freak )
Devil May Cry 3 ( Look, I am not going to repeat myself )
They all look good, and Im a fan of the series, so why not look forward to them?
Also, I forgot about Devil May Cry 3, and The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures which is meant to be the best co-op action/adventure for the Gamecube at least.
the new LoZ looks awesome, If I can get hold of a PS2 this year then FF12, KH 2 ( though i will also have to find and play the KH1 and FFX and X-2 ) other than that i’ll just see what appears and if it looks interesting I’ll buy it
Star Wars : Knights of the Old Republic II : The Sith Lords,
Dead or Alive Ultimate.
The last one, I’ve been told is to be released in Japan towards the end of March and then released in the U.S. by May. Of course, when that comes here to Aus., it’ll probably be in the latter half of the year. What game is it I speak of? Easy (To those who know my taste in games.)
DYNASTY WARRIORS 5!
Also, I am hoping to get "crystal" Xbox at some point this year, if the Xbox 2 doesnt catch up with me 🙁
If we did shooters in the Gaming Rumble later, HL2 would have totally owned he others, imo.
You’re silly. KOTOR 2 was excellent, and the graphics are just a little bit better than KOTOR… definitely not terrible.
"Graphics – 60% Not too bad, but does feel little like a cross platofrm title.
Gameplay – 90% You won’t want it to end, it’s just as rewarding and amazing as KOTOR.
Lifespan – 92% Its huge. You can then go back and do it all again for the dark side!"
While "terrible" may have been slightly harsh, this magazine interprets them as a let-down in any case, and thats all I can go by until a play/buy it.
You could also go by what I just told you. The graphics are not bad at all.
Came out for the U.S. a couple weeks ago. I finished the game a couple weeks ago 🙂
kingdomhearts 2
mgs3
legend of zelda
shenmue online
battlefield 2
KOTOR 2 the sith lords
star wars empire at war
Well there you go. I can’t wait for it to come out. Apparently, it is coming out for the UK on Feburary 11th, which will probably be delayed 🙁

You are going to absolutely love Resident Evil 4. I bought it yesterday, and I already have over 12 hours on it. Yes, it is that addicting. And one really great thing about the game is that it isn’t going to take you less than 6 hours to finish the game; you actually spend a good amount of time with it.
But yeah, when I finish the game, I am planning on doing a game review on it. So look for it hopefully in a few days.
Also, about KOTOR 2, the graphics are indeed nice. I won’t say that they are better or worse than the original, but they are no where near terrible. I just hate how the KOTOR games have trouble with loading and stuff.
Games I was looking forward to are all here pretty much, MGS3 (have had it for 3 weeks but haven’t played it), RE4, WOW (it’s good but I’m having trouble sticking with a character/server and getting past the newbie zones). that’s about it. Looking forward to the new Xenosaga, and especially Jade Empire.
Yeah it does look really good, but what I don’t like the look of, is the inventory, it looks a bit like a Tetris game 🙁
Mercenaries looks like a good game, but World of Warcraft looks great, shame I can’t say the same for Suikoden 4, which looks absolutely horrible.
On the subject of KOTOR 2, I do (as said before) prioritise both yours and Milmans opinions on the matter, the only review I had of it was one in a gaming magazine I have subscribed for, and the graphics were mentioned as average. Not terrible maybe, and of course that’s all I had until yesterday.
Well, I’ll tell you very quickly that you have a lot more room to hold items in this game. I’m almost done with the game, over 17 hours, so I should be making a game review of it in a couple days.
Lot more but they’ve been posted imo.
I’m getting it tommorow.
HTO HTO HTO HTO!1
I’m on my second time through KOTOR 2 (darkie iykwim), and enjoying the hell out of it. Yes, it’s buggier than any game ever should be, but it’s a good game. I’d recommend it. Tell me who the fuck reviewed it for gamesmaster. I wonder if it was Jes Bingham. He’s silly at times. Or maybe Robin. Ugh.

I think Jes is probably the best one there, or Jim McCauley. In any case, the reviewer was some guy called Ben Lawrence, whom I have never heard of. But if he is making bad judgements, I would rather get Edge.
Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn’t Starfox basically an update in the series of Starwing?
I played Starwing on the SNES, and it was great, but thats all I have played.
Anyways, Timesplitters: Future Perfect looks fantastic, you can now create outdoor maps, use melee attacks with your guns, and there are more characters/bots on it than I have seen in any other shoot-em-up, or maybe even in any game (149)…
Advent Rising
Doom 3 Xbox
Star Wars: Republic Commando
Final Fantasy XII
(1,000th post!!!)
FF 12
Resident Evil Outbreak 2
Cold Fear
I am dying to find out some more news on The Legend of Zelda, too. Nintendo is being really scarce with info.
Also, there is a game called Pariah, that is due out soon. It looks a bit like Halo, but it might be worth looking into, if your interested.
EDIT: And all those who like the Oddworld series really should consider buying Oddworld: Strangers Wrath. The game looks to outstrip its predecessors.
