AC/DC

ac/dc are the great father of true hard/rock N roll..they are just awesome. any one else here that are ac/dc fans? =)

I love AC/DC, I think they’re a great band! I’ve always loved the songs, TNT and Hell’s Bells. I love their other stuff, too. 🙂

They’re alright, overrated imo.

AC/DC is a cool band. I’ve seen them on a concert many years ago. I forgot the tour name (was it the Money Talks tour?). It was the concert where you could get the AC/DC Dollar. 😉

They are ok, not the greatness they once were. I still consider "You shook me all night long" the song of the 80s.

AC/DC are good, but Guns and Roses are better imo.

My sister loves AC/DC, Shes even getting a signed guitar for her birthday!! but i have to pay for a bit of it. 🙂

AC/DC are NOT the "great father" of hard rock.. haha.. not even close… I’ve never really been a big fan of AC/DC… it’s decent for party music I guess, but not much else. They sound exactly the same on every single song they’ve ever made, and that’s not really a bad thing, because they do sound good, but if you take thier music any deeper than a good party song there’s something wrong with you.

ok..whos is the great father of rock then??..i HATE led zepplin and wouldnt call them that….and ac/dc started at the same time led started….so its either ac/dc or led zepplin…or maybe black sabbath. it depends of what u self think..sorry for saying my opinion,hehe

I didn’t say everyone had to share my oppinion, but the fact of the matter is AC/DC, while they were part of the whole rock craze, I don’t think they could be credited as father. Bands like Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, Sex Pistols, and two of (who I think are) the most influential bands ever.. The Doors and Deep Purple. Those are all bands who were all around (and most of them before) the time of AC/DC and were all more taleted and rocked just as hard (if not harder).

Also a few tips:

1. Don’t be sorry for expressing your opinion, but don’t be a pissy little dickwad when people express thiers. No, I didn’t think everyone would share my opinion, and I was actually hoping some people wouldn’t so I could make my points and prove I was right.

2. Learn to type and spell correctly if you really want people to take you seriously, I always reread and edit my posts if I find a spelling error. Trust me it helps. I’m not the best typist in the world, but at least I put some damn effort into it.

ac/dc started and 1972…only a few of those u said started before them.

AC/DC might have formed in 72 but they didn’t release thier first album until 74.

Whatever anyway, I can’t understand how you don’t think Aerosmith isn’t important to rock, Joe Perry and Steve Tyler are two of the most influential people in rock history. They are like living legends… to discredit them would be a major flaw.

crazyieman, to descredit angus angus young is a major flaw too. i have respect for aerosmith,but ac/dc are like legends too. didnt u know that? just cause u dont like them doesnt mean MANY ppl look at them as legends. if u dont get that then im done arguing about it

Oh don;t get me wrong, I wasn;t trying to discredit them, I even said they were good.. and Angus is one crazy mofo with a guitar, but what I said id true, thier music is just party music… It has no real substance other than sounding really good, which is the only requisit for good party music.

But hey if you find AC/DC’s music and lyrics profund and life changing, then hey… more power to ya I guess.
