Urgent Assistance!!!!

I need help defeating the boss within the combination safe, found in the Shinra Mansion. Jeez I am trying everything but i can’t figure this out…please! someone help me through this..because I can’t get Vincent without beating this boss. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I am currently using Barret, Red and Cloud
Cloud-Lv 27
Barret-Lv 25
Red-Lv 25

If i am just underleveled then i can fight more and gain more levels but I would really like to beat this boss..he is starting to be a pain in the ass

Enemy Skill "Big Guard" and "Aqualung" should help.
Use their Limits when they fill up.
Make sure you bought good weapons/armor at Cosmo Canyon.

The Fire2, Ice2, and Bolt2 spells should also give more damage than your physical attacks so use them.

That boss in the 2nd phase becomes almost invincible to either Magic or Physical attacks (it seems random), so make sure you have good attacks from both (Aqualung, best weapons).

HOW TO DEFEAT LOST NUMBER (BOSS):

This is a tough battle. Lost Number has two sides; red and purple. The red side is resistant to magic, and the purple side is resistant to physical attacks. Once this boss has taken plenty of damage one of the sides will die. Have Aeris cast her Seal Evil limit break and you will be able to paralyse Lost Number. Keep your HP up and remember, if the red side remains use physical attacks, and use magic if the purple side remains. When you have won the battle you will receive Cosmo Memory.

Do you guys think i am underleveled to fight this boss yet? Because if it could do some more help..I could level up more.

Try leveling up to level 30 or so. Shouldn’t be to hard. Try to learn Cloud’s Meteorain (if you haven’t done that already), it will do a lot of damage, and also Barret’s Anger Max. This should finish him off easily. Protect yourself with big guard.

Or, just come back in Disc 2 and whoop his ass (I did it the 4th playthrough).

When i use the sense materia on him, it states that he is Lv. 35, so it shouldn’t be too much trouble, I am trying to get as much help as i can so I don’t have to repeat my mistakes i make early on.

Oh yeah btw..What is Big Guard and where do i get it?

Use cure magic and clouds Cross slash wait till clouds limit appears but cure after each time ur hit and then use Cross slash it paralyzes him it did for me and do the same with the others

i beat him in disk 2…neo bahumat=1 hit PWN.

Well, I used claimhazard and he took MAD damage from that. Remember to play smart man you have cure for a reason. I had to use clamhazard a few times though. I did not use any enemy skills on that match except big guard. Big gaurd is kind of necessary for a lot of boss battles.

Manipulate a Beach Plug at the COASTLINE (he will only appear at the coast.) near Costa De Sol to get "Big Guard"

for this battle i alway have cloud barret and aeris. get all their limit breaks up and go fight lost number. hit with clouds meteorain, then barrets ungarmax……do aeris’s fury brand – this will get everyones limits up again….then hit him again with meteorain and ungarmax…

i know it’s weird having the level 4 limits at this stage….but hey…i like leveling up! 😀

Well, I had Aeris’ Planet Protector and Pulse of Life which were very useful. But you only get her that far, if you use her a lot and know how to raise your limits. 😉

Lost number can be quite easy. If you hit him with Aeris’s Seal evil, it should paralyse him, I have also heard that Chocomog summon can aslo have the same effect but it’s never worked for me 🙁

After that use Big Guard enemy skill and your strongest spells /attacks.

After a while Lost number will transform, the transformation will be based on the last attack before transformation, If you hit him with a spell you will have to fight the Red side, If you hit him with a physical attack then you will fight the Purple side

The Red side uses Magical attacks so use physical attacks against it the Purple side will use Physical attacks so use your strongest magic against it

I just beat him at the 3rd disk…and it was easy with my level 99 people lol.

oh yeah..nothing to worry about, he became my bitch after acquiring some more skills.

Lost Number? He’s easy to beat. Just use some enemy skills like Aqualung and just keep physically attacking him.
