Replay: Final Fantasy IX

I have had this Idea that I think this entire board can join in with.

All you have to do, Is start replaying Final Fantasy IX, And every now and then when you find time, Post in here and tell us the following:

For me, I had only restarted the game recently, And I am currently crashed into "Evil Forest", Being the lowest level possible, and off to save garnet from the prison cage.

I managed to please the crowd with my amazing sword skills in the play, and got 10,000 gil, can’t wait to shop in lindblum!

I liked all the introduction FMV’s, And the music for Introductions.

At the moment I’m in Lindblum and I have to do the festival of the hunt, My characters are around lvl 12

only lv 12???? im at least lvl 15 before i even try festival of the hunt

I recently picked up the game again.

*I’m in Fossil Roo
*My current party is Vivi, Zidane, Dagger, and Quina
*I’m not sure of my abilities I know at this point. I’m between levels 17-21.
*My fave FMV is the one where Zidane and Dagger watch Lindblum blow into peices, and he’s there to comfort her. I love the music that they play in Cleyra while they perform the ceremony to keep the Sandstorm going.

why?, if you have the ogre weapon you can kill anything in one blow except for the zahgnol or whatever it is called

It is a good idea to level up before Festival of the Hunt, But not exactly needed.

Also, Killing the Zaghnol can give good bonus’

cba to start again. On third disc, just about to go through the portal to Terra. Doing the moogle sidequest i forget what it’s called before i go. characters about 40 somthing and got all the abilities that you can by where i am. My gavorite FMV so far is the first one of Garnet’s dream.

I just came from the black mages town (on third disc) the second time. I’m about ready to go to the wirlsand now (forgot the name of it).

My current party is Zidane, Steiner, Freya, Garnet (Steiner and Freya because they have to catch up in EXP points).

The levels of Zidane ans Garnet is about 37, the others had around 30….

My current thoughts? Well, it was a good choice to start playing it again…. 🙂

I’m in Gizalmaluke’s Grotto.

I have Zidane,Freya and Vivi in my party.

I’m around Lv 23 with Zidane and LV22 with Freya and Vivi.

I don’t have any current thoughts except this is a great way to liven up the FFIX board =)

I’m in the Lifa Tree (close to Final Boss…Necron…i think)

I’ve played through this part before but can’t remember about Kuja (after fight) I know he’s in the Lifa Tree but does he survive? Cause i remember Zidane cumin’ to save him…..can you tell me????

i started playing it for the first time lately. and i think the first disc was short

i finally bought it off ebay ive played it before when i rented a few times im up to the place where you get eiko i think im around level 20 as i really rushed through. I really like the fmv with odin and the ambush attack music.

I just passed the castle Ipsen (don’t know if this is the name in your game version too).

My team was Zidane, Steiner, Vivi, Eiko

And their levels are betwenn 40-50 (Steiner the lowest, Zidane the highest).

My thoughts: Too bad, it is getting close to the end already, but I still got to take care of some secrets….

I like the way they have created ipsen, the traveller and the poet, with the tales of his journeys etc, That is all.

My thoughts: I wanted to complete the whole Chocobo and moogle sidequests, also wanted to beat Ozma, but I messed it up. I was mad, because I couldn’t do it anymore. So, I just finished this game.

I’m going to start a new one….. 😉

I started a new game today. I am about ready to go to the ice cave now.

My Zidane is on level 7, Vivi and Steiner on lv. 6, and Garnet on level 2 or 3.

My thoughts: The beginning of the game was better than usually.

I need to pick up this game again sometime, I’m still in evil forest.. But work and school stuff to do..

Just hit the world map after evil forest. Characters-Zidane Lv20 Vivi Lv15 Steiner Lv15 Garnet Lv5(I did too much battling in the forest without Garnet) 🙁

I’m playing it for the fourth time.

I can never seem to get a copy of FFIX anywhere……….I have played it through once a few years ago when it came out, but I forget most parts of it 🙁
I have FFVI,VII,VIII,X,X-2.

Missed FFIX when it came out and it saddens me.
Hopefully I’ll get a copy soon.

This is what I’m always trying to do, but it is hard on this one because they are always split up. :-\

I’m continuing on off from an old save. I’m just got those 4 mirrors now i’m droppi off everone to those temples. Congrats to Lunatic, i was still on lvl 1 on the first Prison cage. It was so hard to level up in Evil Forest. Also good luck with the equal leveling up. Its gonna be hard

Character levels are all 80, I haze Zidane, Vivi, Garnet and Quina, with all skills

I’m going after Ozma for the umpteenth time cos I’ve beaten Necron lots of times

Fav music = Hunter chance
Fav FMV = Any with Bahamut

Thoughts: A good game, better than FF8, but a little too easy for my liking ( so far in both games the only boss to have Ko’d my party is Ozma, although those blooming Yans decimate my party with their snort attack 😮 !!!! )

I’m in Lindblum Castle, just about to do the Festival of the Hunt. I love this part. 🙂 I’m at level 10, Vivi is around 7, Garnet 7? And Steiner 8.

My thoughts: I can’t wait until Cleyra, I love that part of the game, and I’m going to go to the Chocobo’s forest as soon as possible.

Also, I wish we could choose the prizes we want for winning! Vivi deserves much more than a card! 😉

I am on disc 2, heading toward Fossil Roo at the moment, but I detoured to Gizamaluke’s Grotto to do some training.

My thoughts are "Wicked, I have 4 coral rings and am battling Grand Dragons ’till i feel bored (like thats ever gonna happen!). Gaining 8,000 exp per battle, well 12000 exp cos all of my members have level up and ability up!
Sooooooooo, i think that i will train up until about lvl 50-60 before moving on.

I just came back from Terra, went to the villages of the blackmages and doing some sidequests now.

My party: Zidane, Eiko, Freya, Aramant

Zidane, Eiko and Aramants levels are around 60 some. Freya 48-50.

My thoughts: I’m about ready to finish the mognet sidequest. I’m curious how it is going to end…. 😉

At this present moment I am wondering how to break into my friend’s house and steal back my FF9 since he’s on vacation. Aerith Gainsborough, you go so damn fast. I looked at your posts and you are zoomin through the game!

ANyway here’s my progress
Current party: Zidane,Garnet,Vivi,Freya with levels of 40-48. I’m at the part where you go to the island to get to Terra. I think I have higher levels than usual for this part of the game so I think Terra will be a breeze. Just finishing up some side quests first.

I ended up having to start over after all my file got erased off my p.o.s memory card, as it turned out if u have one of the huge memory cards that has to be control by the two buttons on the front it will wipe ur games if its not in all the way… but i tried to start over but my disc is scratch all to hell so i had to order one from amazon should be in tomorrow. but im on the cargo ship going to lindlbum and i cant watch the fmv of black waltz .3 needless to say..pissed off

I’ve beaten Ozma yesterday, because it was the last thing I had to do before finishing the game.

My team was: Zidane (lv. 93), Eiko (lv. 91), Vivi (lv. 81), Amarant (lv. 92)

My thoughts: Yay, I made it!!! I killed Ozma! 🙂

My party is Steiner, Marcus, and Dagger, and I am going to Treno for the first time. I haven’t used them, so their levels are between 6-10.

My thoughts: I am planning on leveling them up here for a while, until they catch up to my other group.

My other team: Zidane, Freya, Quina, and Vivi, about to go to Cleyra.(one of my favorite parts of the game!) I took a lot of time and leveled up before going to Gisamoluke’s Grotto, so their levels are higher than they would be.

Freya: 21
Quina: 19
Vivi:20

Right now I’m in the Black Mage Village and i have to have Zidane, Quina, Dagger amd Vivi. 🙁 I haven’t leveled up at all cuz i hate leveling up people i wont use when i get my full party back. Levels are:

Vive: 18
Quina 15

These levels are pretty low to me. Most of my guys were at 22-25 by that time.
