Are all of the characters original? I’m not too versed on anime, so i don’t know if these are people i should reconize. In any case, i like em, I tend to just draw characters standing there looking angry, these are interesting. I like the cat, hehee. Oop! gotta go catch me friends!

i think the pics are pretty good. i try not to use coloured pencils that much as freltpens give a more solid effect.
i don’t know about MMM’s accusations of tracing since i haven’t seen those exact pics before. you should probably respond to this stutterfly.

Quite nice work. I dont like coloured pencils myself, but the eye is your best piece.

and…i wasn’t trying to use pencil crayons like crayons….i don’t have anything else to color with, since i don’t HAVE crayons. hell, i don’t even have markers.

that first pic took me like, a WEEK to draw, because i couldn’t get the colors right…XD…and that second one look me one night.

i’m completely serious. i copied that second one from the computer screen. meaning, like, i SAT in front of the computer and drew it.

oh, and by the way, that third picture is my original character.

color pencils have to be worked with really lightly to get a decent effect. REALLY REALLY lightly so that you can blend and such and the coloring strokes aren’t so obvious. Using a pencil like a crayon means that you just filled the areas up. Like… if you want to color something yellow, you just grabbed a yellow color pencil and filled the area up. The strokes are really obvious and it’s patchy. Colored pencils are excellent for coloring, but they also take a lot of time to do well. If you don’t like your coloring with them, just worka lot lighter,build up each color slowly and the results should be much better.
