This is a poem about how I think Aeris feels about her death.

God’s Green Earth

What one God’s greed earth, they say,
Would want to take sweet me away?
From worlds of hate and worlds of fear,
Because, of course, I’m happy here.

Who would kill me, lovely, pure.
And if they do, whatever for?
I’ve only loved on God’s green earth.
Now people see what that is worth.

So who would strike while beauty sleeps?
And take a life that angels keep.
Who would end the perfect storm?
The fire that keeps all sad hearts warm.

Who would stop me, of all things?
An angel only missing wings.
What could want to sweep aside
The joy that could have turned the tide?

And who would stain God’s green earth red,
With the blood of peace, now dead.
Who would poison complete bliss,
The human form of happiness?

Someone who knows utter grief,
So he turned murderer and thief.
This world was never meant to be,
First for him, and now for me.
