*Spoilers* Did you predict…

Did you predict Garnet being related to Eiko, or escaping Madain Sari, before they explained it in the game? What were your predictions of the beginning fvm, where Garnet and her mother were escaping on a boat? Was it all too obvious for you?

I thought it was a good twist, if you could call it a twist, to have Garnet and Eiko be related. But, I must admit, I did guess that she was from Eiko’s village, because of her ability to summon, and Queen Brahne’s looks compared to Garnet’s. Also, something I found really strange, before I went to see what Garnet’s real name was, I said to myself "Watch it be something really common, like Sarah."

i figured that that first fmv was important in some way and saw a later part of the game (my friend was playing) and guessed that eiko and dagger had to have some sort of relationship

but they are both from Madain Sari…so they are related but not by blood, just because they are both summoners.

They were both from a 500 year old village of seven screens two of which were one house. Of course they were related, it’s just not mentioned. They could be cousins for all we know. Not sisters as I’ve seen it mentioned before cos Garnet’s mother went away during the storm and Eiko was born after the storm.

I had no idea what so ever about the story. I didn’t get anything until it was put right infront of me, and you’ve gotta love that twist! I couldn’t see a differnet story coming out from Kuja, accept that it really wouldn’t have covered a further disc if it didn’t take a big twist. Kinda the same with FFVIII really and a bit with FFVII without the story taking twists and turns it couldn’t go as far as it did

What was Daggers real name? I wasnt able to figure it out.. how do you?

I kinda saw everything from the beginning as well, with the whole boat scene, and then you see that Brahne and Dagger have no resemblance whats so ever. Also the minute flash backs of the invincible, bahamut and so on…

Sarah. I can’t remember exactly how you get her name but it’s written on the Edion(sp?) wall.

mm, such a boring name. couldnt they come up with something better?

I thought the same thing… I mean, I guessed that particular name before I even looked. It’s at a certain part of the game, where you can go back to Madain Sari and look at the Eidolon Wall. I can’t remember which, but I think it may be on disc 4.

honestly, if shes from a place called ‘Madain Sari’ and Eiko has a name like Eiko can Daggers name be more exciting or exotic?!

Yeah, Sarah and Jane (I think this is Daggers mothers name…) seem easy enough to create.
