GRAAARG. ; ;

After quiting Final Fantasy XI maybe 2 months back, Merl and I decided to get back into it, but our experience thus far has been pretty problem laden. One of these problems has yet to be solved, so I’m hoping someone can help me fix it.

When we try and download all the new updates since we’ve been gone, it gets maybe 90% through the update prep, and then it claims that we’ve lost our internet connection (every time), and that the update has failed.

This is getting pretty depressing. I just wanted to play again.

I’m hoping that somebody has an idea or something I can try out.

I’m trying to avoid the support line because they aren’t very supportive.

I’ve heard here and there that there are others experiencing a similar problem with not being able to install either expansion.. I can’t be of much help, but I’m sure that posting your predicament in Allakhazam (http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=10) would prove useful, if you’re not keen on SE support.
