I know a friend who gave up on playing FFVII because he said that the junction sytem totally confused him. he said it was difficult and that he doesn’t understand it.

As for me, FFVIII was my first FF, and I still didn’t give up. And in the end, I mastered the junction system perfectly. It wasn’t hard at all. I heard that most people who play FFVIII as their first FF never play another because of the junction system. What do you think about this?

I don’t think, it was hard at all. You just need to get used to it at first.

The people who can’t use the manual set, they can push the automatic set button (forgot the correct name of this butten, because I haven’t played this game for a while). 😉

It’s semi complicated, the first time I played FFVIII I didn’t fully understood the system and made a few booboos. But the second time I got the hang of it quite good and found usefull maigc to junction to stats and let people exel in physical combat or magic. It made the game alot more fun to play that way.

Overall I really liked the junction system because it let’s you customize your characters more.

Well, I had a bit harder time figurin all that out, but as soon as i got the hang of it, I understood it fully. Most people say it’s kinda complicated, but I don’t think so. It’s a real waste that some people think FF is crap just because they played FFVIII and didn’t understand the junction system. These people are missing a hell of game. To bad…

it woz my first ff i was 8 and i could just about understand it you just have to get used to it i guess but anyway its real easy now i think but it very annoying when you start a new game it just like ‘lets review this one more time…’ and ‘do you remeber how to do this?’ it sooooo annoying 🙁

i liked the junction system becuase once you understood it it was easy as pie to understand and it did allow you to customize your characters but not to an extent where you could really screw up their stats since you still leveled up normally and if you did it was very easy and quick to fix unlike 10 where if you messed up the sphere grid you were screwed unless you had a ton of spheres to fix it.

You know, there’s already another thread about whether or not people like the junction system here on the first page. (click)
