Here is a petition for an FF X-3, if you would like a sequel to X-2 please sign 🙂

I don’t support the idea and wouldn’t sign it. I thought Final Fantasy X-2 continued the events of Final Fantasy X quite nicely. Now it’s time to let it stand and move on.

i wouldnt support it either, however it is likely they will create a FFX-3, and there will be no need for a petition. This is a article i found a while ago at IGNInsider.

‘The recently released Final Fantasy X-2 has been an enormous success, selling a whopping 1.2 million copies in the first day, according to Square Co. Ltd. This is two-thirds of Square’s initial shipment of 1.8 million units, an almost ludicrous amount in itself. What’s a company to do when its game sells so fast the store counters are still a little warm? Create a sequel, of course.

While no official comment has been made, Square has stated that a sequel, tentatively titled Final Fantasy X-3, is underway for PlayStation 2, according Indie Magazine. More than likely the game will not see release in Japan until next year at the earliest.

To announce a sequel less than a week after a game’s launch is not unheard of, but who would’ve thought Square would develop another sequel for Final Fantasy X. No other details are known about the game, but there were obscure rumors floating around about a game telling Rikku’s story, and also of a game that took place six months after the events in Final Fantasy X-2.’

I dont know exactaly how true this is but I have also seen bits and pieces in magazines so its a fair bet to say that SE will be squeezing something out.

i dunno….i found ffx-2 kinda pointless, although, it’s fun to play. but there really wasn’t a reason for there to be a sequel. i wonder if ffx-3 (if there’ll be one) will be better. i hope it will be.

there is nothing wrong with making a ffx-3, as long as they do the story justice. How could you not enjoy spending another 60 hours with those charectors. They feel like real people, friends I haven’t seen in awhile. So as long as they keep the integrity of the series intact, FFX-3 would be great.

i loved X and X-2, but I think X-3 would be overdoing it…even if it does make a lot of money. I wouldn’t like another game based on FFX. FFX-2 was an alright game, but nowhere near as good as the original. I’m not looking forward to any of the FF7 projects much either for the same reason, I just don’t think I’d enjoy them.

Then again, I doubt I’m ever gonna buy another FF game, so if there was an FFX-3 I wouldn’t buy it anyway.

I think that it would be stupid to petition a ff x-3. i think that the game may be very interesting especially if you were to say see a bit more of rikku or someone elses full story. i think that rikku is about the only charecter whose story we havent seen a lot about. i think that a ff x-3 that was all about rikku would be very cool.

no im afraid ffx is over there is nothing more to show and besides braskas story would be too short half of it is showin in x anyway it is totally over and i doubt square is going to do it any way.

i think they should leave it, although it wouldnt take them long to make it because they already have the basic game engine e.g spira and wont need to design many more locations… but i think it is time for FFX to end and make room for new FF games!

I don’t really know where IU wpuld stand in this. I mean, both X and X-2 are great games, but though it hurts to say so, I feel that the whole Spira plot is been emptied and a little more than that.

What would be cool, though, was if they made a prologue for FFX. Like, the story of how Sin came to be, or Jechts story (that would probably be a lot like Tidus’ story, though).
I would think that if Square makes a FFX-3, it would be about Yuna and Tidus’ life together, maybe Sin comes back (that woukd actually suck, but still). But if they make a third FFX game, I hope they bring back Auron. He is my favorite character=)

I dont agree.Consider the ending to FFX.It kind of leaves you curious about what will happen to Tidus and what will happen to Spira post-Sin.I think it was a good idea to make a sequel and wouldnt be against FFX-3 but think it might be a bit overboard tbh.

Maybe FFX-3 would be a nice idea but the "disasterrific" final fantasy X-2 proyect was so… diferent from a real final fantasy that i just want to leave as it is. i wish to see Final Fantasy IV-2 or at least a remake with a soul temple or somethin like that just as souls of chaos and rebirth in ff1&2:DoS

The game went into a spiral during the second one, which let some stupid questions unanswerd, so why the hell should there be a third one. A sequal to X-2 would never work, unless you completly fucked up the story line.

I would call you a liar if you said FFx-2 was anything more than a shadow of what it couldv’e been, I mean following up FFx (which is an excellent game) had the recipe for succes, and yet it sucked.

FFX was and is a great game! When FFX-2 came it ruined the storyline! OMG, I really hope for FFX-3! gogogo! 😀

they should make one where you have many stories of such as the party from x,x2 and have a time base where you can fight as jecht,auron, and braska and fight sin with jecht as the aeon such as FFVIII’s dream sequence
and when tidus returns at the end of x2 battle shuyin also use a farplane sequence of tidus auron and jecht

That would be awesome! The Jecht, Auron and Braska game idea…But I don’t think I’d be able to play it, knowing what becomes of them all! Yunalesca really chapped my ass, I don’t think I’d play a game about a hormonal crackpot.

I think it might be cool to envolve time travel or something. Yunie and Tidus exploring a cave or something that they found under the ruins of Zanarkand. And they investigate and find a machinina that NO ONE has heard of before. It has been long forgotten, and was a secret when it was first created. They find a machine in there and activate it and it sends them back in time, and they wind up being the ones who bring about the war with Zanarkand and Bevelle, and maybe even wind up being their own grand parents. Thats a lil wierd I know, but, hey I like time travel!

But see in the first one the didn’t really travel through time. Since Auron was already dead, and Jecht Sin, they entered the dream world that Tidus lived in and therefore the whole thing never was time travel but a dream in Yuna’s time. And how did time travel have to do with Vegnagun? Something new then. How about, when Tidus and Yuna are out, maybe with Wakka and Lulu, I don’t know. Then, while they are out on their little "stroll" a storm arises. Except, it is like no storm they have seen before. They take cover in said the Besaid temple and wait for the storm to blow over. While the storm is moving through Besaid, they notice a VERY strong occurance of Pyre Flies in the center of the storm. This leads them to investigave into the Farplane and discover that their is a war, of sorts between the Fayth. This war is causing EXTREME consequences in Spira. Some Fayth have split off and decided they don’t like the ways things have been going since they were sent. Which also leads them to reposses the statues which allows Yuna to summon again. Yuna, Tidus, and the rest of the party must one again come together to seek a final end to this war between the Fayth, that if left unchecked, may mean the death of all Spira.

It was rejected in America, for glitches and such. Anyways the game only involves other features that wasn’t on the original game.
