Did Holy Work?

At the end of FF7 meteor is pounding midgar to dust, when Holy intervenes, however it soon becomes apparent that holy is not proteting the people, Red 13 states that "Holy is having the opposite effect"

Now some could say that holy isn’t working, BUT i’m certain that Bugnhagen or someone says that Holy is the Ultimate judgement and that it would decide whether to save human life or let us be destroyed.

In that case the answer is pretty obvious, the damage done by Shinra was enough to nearly kill us, and only the planets will to live alowed lifestream to counter the Metor/Holy hybrid

so Holy did work it just didn’t have he expected effect

Well, Holy was "summoned", but it wasn’t strong enough to stop Meteor. Only with the help of the Lifestream could meteor be stopped. The Lifestrem merged with Holy and their combined power stopped Meteor.

Thus humanity continues yo live on…But there is now a disease affecting peeps.

And then, that’s where Advent Children comes in.

I personally think Holy was meant to summon Lifestream although I have no clue.

Well, Holy was "summoned", but it wasn’t strong enough to stop Meteor. Only with the help of the Lifestream could meteor be stopped. The Lifestrem merged with Holy and their combined power stopped Meteor.
