My charectors were perfect, level 99 and imune to every elemental status, and it still took forever to beat the final bosses! In FF9 and FF10 I beat the final bosses in like..three hits, whats going on!? I don’t wanna spend 45 minutes on one enemy so I can see the ending again!…err

It doesn’t take me a long time to beat the final boss. It’s the ending itself that takes a looong time 😉

Limit Breaks?

RaineLoire

I did use my limit breaks. You’d be stupid not to. She has a trillion HP, for a while I thought I had to die to see the ending. It wasn’t hard, it just took FOREVER!

You should get your characters to level 100 instead 😉

The only reason it does take forever is because she has so many forms, but i used ultima and limit breaks and she was over pretty quickly..

have Squall and Irvine use limits and have someone else use tripled curaga every round.

The final bosses are MEANT to be difficult, because the ending is the best part and longest part in the whole game. I doubt you would be able to beat Ultemecia at level 100 in under about 30 minutes, because she has so many forms. First there is her "human like" self then Griver, then you have that weird space type one with the huge attack that reduces each character to 1hp. If you’re at level 99, I wouldn’t worry about how long it takes you, just praise yourself for doing great at levelling! =)

It’s possible, you know :p

Oh, and Megalixirs make miracles 😉

Yeah it probably is possible. I don’t know though i’ve never got that high levels, my highest lvl at the end was probably about 60+

the first time i tried to see the ending i couldnt cause i wuz so weak. i was so into the story i rushed through it not bothering to lvl up so by the time i got to the castle, my highesst lvl wuz 40 somethin and my lowset was 28. so u can imagine how i felt when i realized i had to start ALL OVER again to finally see the ending and u can REALLY imagine how i felt when the second time thru i realized i could’ve used those 3 doors t the entrance of he castle to go to the world map to lvl up there instead of starting all over.
But the last bosses were kinda rough she has so many forms, when i beat the one where she wuz juncioned to greiver i got up, turned off all my lights, and got all comfortable, ready for the ending only to find myself dead against ultimecias final form.

what was up with the glyphs that formed when she was junctioned to griever. what were they supposed to do?!

the only thing that I hated about it, was how she would blow whole sets of magic away. all my flare gone -.-

That allows Ultimecia to activate a power attack called Great Attractor with does 7000-8000 HP damage, looks ridiculously cool, and is sort of Ultimecia’s counter to the Supernova from Final Fantasy VII. A lot of players probably won’t ever see this spell if they finish her off quickly enough, but it’s worth watching at least once. Just make sure your characters have at least 9000 HP or so and are fully healed.

you guys are also forgetting that the enemies get stronger as you do, there is no easy ‘fast’ way to beat Ultimacia

I don’t want to sound mean and rude but Ultimecia was pretty easy. But then again I junctioned 100 Ultima’s to my attack, had 100 Aura spells and had Squall keep doing Lionheart. It did so much damage that one formed died, the other one appeared and died as well. It was hilarious. The ending was long but it was cool.

It wasnt HARD, She was easy to beat, its just completely time consuming and it drives me nuts! It took wayyy to long!

It only took me 10 minutes. The ending drove me nuts….it was good but too long.

Agree with Shinobu_Sensui — if you really power up your characters to ultra-mode, it doesn’t take all that long to beat her.

you can avoid the attack with a holy war or a hero right?

hmm maybe I should see the attack some time then..

Great Attractor did 7000-8000? Wow my guys must be super powerful. It only did 1000.

I normally rush through games like that. FF8 was the first Final Fantasy i played and it took me forever to beat because i hadn’t played a game like it before. So then when i played FFX i didnt rush so much…cos rushing just makes everything go wrong 😛

I can never rush through a game, even when i go slowly, i still feel like i missed something. Im trying to get all the items and cards in FF8. its possible right?

Stutterfly

i used my holy wars, holy-war-trials, and heroes. along with the megalixers, all the gfs, and all their ultimate weapons, it was somewhat easy. the second time i defeated the game, i don’t think any of my characters were level 100. i believe rinoa was around 50 or so. but it took me one shot, and she was dead.

oh, by the way, x_yuna_x, i defeated her in less than 30 minutes the second time around.

in my first game, i was terrible, but she died eventually. after 4938043784073 tries.
