Using Aeris after Disc 1 with Gameshark

I’m using a gameshark to play as Aeris on Disc 2, but I can’t get past the "trouble spots" where the game freezes if she’s in your party(such as the Whirlwind Maze). How do I remove her from my party? I can’t do it at the PHS screen, in fact, once she’s in my party, I can’t exchange members at all! Is there a way around this?

My friend used gameshark before to have sephiroth in his team, you cant get rid of them.

I laso had that problem. So I didn’t revive any characters or got sephiroth in my party.

and it also means you can’t use her against Safer Sephiroth either.

If only your game was on PC, you can exchange members with JENOVA program.

Really? That sucks, I heard there was a way to do it. I have 2 different codes to use Aeris, but one doesn’t work correctly, it ruins the file. Luckily I made 2 different saves and so I continued on with the game without her. Even so, I remember my friend using her against Safer Sephiroth, but he never told me how he did it.

Something else that’s weird: After "reviving" Aeris, she starts exactly were she left off, same level, limits etc. But, after Disc 1 her Great Gospel no longer heals status effects, just HP/MP and makes you invincible. Anyone else notice this? Or was it just a glitch in my file?

Sounds like a glitch. Gameshark have lots of them.

Cloud XIII, the way I did it was really tedious. After I found Aeris was locked (at Safer Sephiroth…), I had to go dig up an old save file, at a stage of the game before she became locked. This is until just before going to Golden Saucer for the 2nd time (date time).

Ok, so I make a backup of this save file and then go to the debug room to program the file to start on the Highwind, on top of the Northern Crater.

I found that I cannot fly the Highwind outta there and it glitches. The characters are arranged and programmed in the same way when Tifa gets on the Highwind the 1st time from the Cannon.

Ok, I was lvl 62 or summing in my other file with the locked Aeris. I gave my characters all the goodies I earned including their Ultimate Weapons. Then it was time to tweak the HP to survive the monsters there because I was still lvl 29! I used my editor to give all 3 of them a mastered Exp. Plus materia to save time leveling up 30 levels!

Ah yes, 99 save crystals would be also convenient because this takes quite some time.

Anyway, Aeris was not locked on the PHS and this troublesome method worked.
