Permanent Party set up

What characters did you use as your permanent party?

Mine were:

Zidane
Garnet/Dagger:Healing and Summoning
Eiko:Summoning healing, and I liked her Holy spell
Steiner:The fighter and warrior of my party.

I just started again, got too stuck on my other file.

My party is : (when possible)

Zidane: Stealer and general attacker
Steiner: strong fighter and didnt use him last game
Freya : think she is cool and why not
Eiko or Garnet: to heal and summon

No vivi or amarant. i used them last time. and quina just no

The Party I most Used was :

1.Zidane – Stealing, Good Attacks and becuase he sticks in your Party
2.Vivi – Black Magic
3.Amarant – Strong, and alot of HP
4.Garnet/Dagger – Healing and Summons (on Necron only)

my party was:

Zidane: good attacks + dyan attacks were good
Garnet: wht mag and summons were handy
Vivi: blk mag!
Steiner: good attacker, swd mag, and shock was useful

Garnet/Dagger Healer, summoner

Vivi Black magic

Steiner/Freya Attacker and supporter.

Boring team, but it works.

freya is the killer. i used vivi because his doomsday skill so dumb 🙂

I used:

Zidane � I’d switch him out in a heartbeat if I could
Eiko � much more useful in combat than dagger, because she learns esuna and dispel, plus has holy, and here trance is way better than dagger/garnet’s.
Freya � with enough training, she has the best attack in the game. Plus she’s fast, and can avoid danger by jumping.
Steiner � he’s just a solid ass-kicking character. If you have excalibur or ragnarok (from which you learn the skills climhazzard and shock) you can deal 9999 every turn even at a fairly low level.

Zidane and Freya were my two strongest charcters, while I had Vivi and Garnet be the mages in the group.

Quina- Blue Mage/Decent fighter
Vivi-Blk Mage

I’m surprised nobody used Quina she’s a good character, when u take the time to teach her Blue Magic. Steiner I perfered more than Freya and Vivi I use for Blk magic.

Garnet/Eiko: I rarely use. my healer is quina and i gave her the Mp+10 or 20% i believe

Freya: Never took time to use him. Dragoons are tough but he just doesn’t match the power of Steiner

Amarant: He’s sort of a Ninja/Monk but really why would i throw my weapons? He was decent but still Steiner…..

Umm thats great but..Freya’s a girl. I don’t see why your so in love with Steiner. He’s good but I find Freya much more useful cause later in the game she can do just as much if not more than him. But good for you with the Quina thing I use Him/Her also and find him/her to be a good character!

My Party
Zidane-..for well..he’s a good attacker…I guess
Eiko- Holy+Curaga=Great healer and attacker
Quina-Major variety here. Strong magic like Twister and Earth Shake AND great defensive moves like Mighty Guard and Angel’s Snack
Amarant- I kno all the abilities I need to know so throwing is not a problem. I throw Wing Edges most often though and they do 9999 everytime. Also can heal and a "so so" attack power.

(I’m thinking of replacing Eiko with Freya but I’m not Sure Yet.)

I use:
Zidane (but I’m going to switch him the one time I can in the game later…)
Freya (very useful)
Eiko (I like using her more than Dagger/Garnet and she has Jewel)
Vivi (black mage)

I actually don’t ever really use Amarant unless to level him up. I use Quina more than him. Quina’s actually very useful when you take the time to learn his/her abilities (did his/her sidequest and beat up his master). I use Steiner occasionally too. I’ll switch between Dagger and Eiko, but tend to use Eiko more.

I switched it around sometimes, but for the most part I used…

Sometimes I put Vivi in for Eiko.

I tend to use:
Zidane- You have to.
Vivi- BLM and Meteor or Flare are pretty damn decent spells towards the end.
Garnet/ Dagger- Always liked her better than Eiko.
Amarant: Powerful physically and has decent abilities.
Sometimes I used Steiner instead of Amarant.

My permanent party:
1) Amarant (offensive attack)
2) Garnet (my best healer)
3) Vivi (i just love him and would never want to remove him from the party. as shallow as that)
4) Zidane (a hitter, just like amarant)

I liked this party because it was so powerful offensivelly and I could heal a little bit with Aramarnt.

My final party ended up being:

Zidane (Thievery is awesome when built up, and since you always have to use him, although I replace him with Freya in Memoria)
Vivi (black magic is awesome!, Flare bring a world of pain)
Eiko (best white magic, Holy and Madeen are awesome, and she can cure)
Steiner (compliments Vivi, strong physical attacks and abilities)
