issaru is raiden!

did anyone know that the guy who does issaru’s voice (quinton flynn) also does raidens voice in metal gear solid 2 sons of liberty? another thing is that LOADS of voices used in final fantasy X also have cameos in the animatrix. yuna’s and tidus’s voice actors even have their own stories!

loads of the people who do voices on final fantasy x do voices for everything, rikku’s voice actress does the voice of Timmy on fairly odd parents, tidus’ voice actor does the voice of Rachet from Rachet n clank lenne’s voice actress does the voice of suzie on All grown up and the voice of Miranda on as told by ginger!

Bender from Futurama?

i knew about the wakka is bender thing i read it earlier. no i was just shocked about the issaru raiden connection thing cos i’m a big fan of mgs. and that i have been playing ffx for almost 2 years and mgs2 for months and it took me that long to notice! dozy or what? and the fact that rikku is (in a way) bubbles the powerpuff girl creeps me out, considering i was a diehard fan a few years back! does anyone play mgs or watch the matrix? they’re just so different from final fantasy.

Well I knew all of those…except for Ttara Sstong (Rikku) doing Timmy’s voice hehe! She also does the voice of bubbles in powerpuff girls 😛 Oh and I heard somewhere that Jjames Arnold Taylor was in Sstar Wars doing a voice as something but dats wat I heard. Erm there are loads others I have rememeber 🙁 erm…I know that Hedy Burress (Yuna) was in alot of films. But dats all that I know!

and Cree Summer has loads of Cd’s and is on the fresh prince of Bel Air when I found out I was like " =-O "

thats what i originally ment. just the fact that these people can do things that are so opposite from each other and do each thing so well is a bit gobsmacking, even if it is their job. its cool and requires real talent. its just a bit weird hearing the same voice say something completely different when you’ve got used to that character. hearing tidus’s voice going on about the matrix has surely got someone a bit freaked?

Woah this thread is still going? I thought it would have been closed or something but I guess not. Are you sure about the Tidus/Ratchet thing? I checked something ages ago which had all the things that voice actors had done and I don’t remember seeing that. Though I’ll be the first to admit they sound very alike.

Oh yeah, the guy who does Issaru’s voice, Quinton Flynn- he did the voice of Jonny Quest if anyone remembers that program. It was in the early 90’s (’93-’94ish).

i found out when i was watching futurama LOL i nearly choked on my soda!

Wakka’s voice, John DiMaggio, did Bender as we all know from Futurama, and he also did the voice for Crash Bandicoot in Crash Nitro Kart on the PS2.

And on the subject of character voices, John Rhys-Davis, who did Gimli in LotR, also did some of the dwarves in Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance.
