Whats the best concert you’ve ever attended?
Personally, I have only been to a handful of gigs but the Chilli’s a few years back were fantastic.

Hard to say, exactly. The one that was most worth going to, I guess, was when I saw Fingers-Cut, Megamachine play live because I had the opportunity to talk with Devon Williams and ask him questions and stuff, which was pretty awesome seeing as how he’s like my favorite songwriter ever. But in terms of the show being fun, it goes to when I saw Anti-Flag play at a medium-sized venue for a special show. The energy in that room was way beyond anything else I’ve ever experienced, and I met some pretty cool kids too.

I guess my favorite concert was Metallica a year or so ago. Metallica isn’t my favorite band anymore, but I think they were at the time, and it was a pretty intense performance anyway. It’s a weird kind of bonding experience, banging your head up against a bunch of sweaty fat guys.

It’s a tossup between Metallica at Reading (Watching 100,000 or so people singing Nothing Else Matters) and In Flames in Los Angeles, where I was headbanging with some chinese girl all night after a day at E3.

mine would have to be the Keane gig I went to on Sunday, it was so intimate (2,000 people) and seeing everyone there (apart from my cousin, who hated the gig in general) sing to Somewhere Only We Know was the best.

I know I’ll be able to go to better shows, but for now the best show I’ve been to was one I saw just yesterday. My my first ‘real concert’. Free concert provided by the Roads and Traffic Authority to push their ‘Drive Safe Teenagers’ message. All we cared about was the great lineup.

First there was a few local bands, one of which I really liked: The Funky Hillbillys. They were Chili Peppers wannabes, but great – the best actual music on the day, I reckon. Then there was The Hot Lies, a good though sorta emo punk band. Then Butterfingers, who were great fun. Then a few lame hip hop acts, but then there was Regurgitator, who everyone went spastic for in the moshpit, and you could tell the band was feeding off the energy.

Best moment was in the Butterfingers song -‘Everytime’ – the ‘worship satan’ part (you’d understand if you knew the song). Both the singer and my friends sister got freaked out when we all sang along with the \~/ hands. I’m sore as hell but it was great. I can’t wait to go the Big Day Out.

Just felt like writing that down.
