Is Star Ocean any good? I want to get it, andI know SquareEnix usually makes good games, but I read a magazine that gave it bad reviews.

Yes you should definitly get this game! It’s one of the best (and challenging) RPG’s to come out in a while. The charcters are cool (decent Voice-acting), great real-time battles, good story, and nice music.
Forget the reviews on the magazines and such. They seem to give Rpg’s that aren’t Final Fantasy lower scores lately.(Look at the reviews for FFX-2 and then Star Ocean 3 from EGM magazine and you’ll see what I’m talking about). Just play the game yourself and make your own judement on it. (If this is your first time playing a Star Ocean game then you should proably play it on the Earth level since it’s the easiest).

Thanks I’ll get it. I didn’t really want to waste money on something crappy. I didn’t play ffX-2 but I thought the concept was really crappy. (If Tidus doesn’t exist, how is he sending Sphere-mail? Does he have some sort of super imaginary fed-ex that does cross reality deliveries in 24 hours or the next sphere is free?)

Actually Thats part of the story…If you really want to know the man in the Sphere isn’t Tidus. You’ll find a lot of FFX-2 "Dislikers" here but I throughly enjoyed it.
