where the hell is the ice queen?

this is probably asked a 100 times before this, but in searching the threads all those where closed with a link to another thread, and that other thread is gone.

I’m still missing the Alexander materia.
I looked at a lot of faqs where to get it, and the most just say:
at the great glacier.
or: from the ice queen.

so i’m supposed to dip my hands in the hot springs, then walk to some cave and then fight the old lady.
well i walked to a lot of caves but i really can’t find any old lady.
so can someone tell how to walk to her exactly?

Dip your hand into the hot springs and go to the place that looks like the world map ( where they are strong wind ), you should run into a cave ( It will be in the center of the place ). There, in the cave there is a item, and exit the cave, now go right (don’t forget the wind!) And you should enter a area, and you should see a cave. Enter the cave and you will see a woman in purple and speak to her.

P.S You can see in the map where the cave is. ( You see the red sign on the map? That is Area 12 (Where there is the strong wind), Thats here that you need to go, just continue, And there is a cave in the middle of the place, go right and you will run into the Area 13 thats where the Snow Woman cave is.

i did go up down and left, and once right, but i guess i didn’t go straight to the right then..

Yeah the Great Glacier is really annyoing to navigate, but Alexander is worth getting so even if you take ages to get it keep trying. And the enemy is actually called Snow and you can steal Circlets from her. Hope it helps!

yep i have the materia now, and i stole the circlet

that’s what I do. Make sure you steal from Schizo in Gaea’s Cliff (sorry if that is a bit of a spoiler!) I don’t know if this your first time round in FFVII.

no this is my third time, but this time i really wanted to have all materia and beat the weapons.
i already finished the north cave and all when i realised is still missed W-item and alexander.
got them both now (used an older savegame) but i will have to do some new levelling up!
