Neslug

How exactly do i kill Neslug? I was fighting it for an hour and a half but everytime i got it to near dead it would hide in it’s shell and regenerate 50000hp every turn of my party. Aurn and Wakka are both doing 99999 each hit and tidus is doing 50000.

Also on a different note completely, wat is it i need to add break hp limit to armour, i’ve found things for auron and wakka but nothing for tidus.

When Neslug retreats into its shell, have Wakka perform a perfect Attack Reel and Tidus use Blitz Ace. It should be enough to break its Shell.

You need 30 Wings to Discovery to customise Break HP Limit on armour. You can get them by bribing Marlboro’s or beating Shinryu.

I don’t remember exactly how much damage you should take away before you try to finish it off, but this is what I did:

After I had dealt about 1,400,000 HP damage, I let Wakka perform his Attack Reels. This would deal about 1,200,000 more damage, and that would always kill him. I realized that Neslug retreats into it’s shell after it has lost a certain amount of HP, and I think that 1,400,000 is a safe bet to go all out on the beast.

It has 4,000,000 HP, and I think after dealing 1,000,000 it reatreats into its shell.

You then need to reduce its HP to 2,000,000 to break the shell.

It’s really odd, i was training up last night in the omega ruins and i played for about an hour and got 80-90 spheare levels per person i use (Wakka, Auron and Tidus) I train like this often but theres never a serious difference in the power of the guys from wen i go in to when i come out, this time there was. I went in on Auron 28,000hp and wakka as 30,000 tidus is still only 9,999 though. anyway by the time i had finished wakka and aurons hp’s had both almost doubled. Before i couldn’t kill any of the Super arena fights except Catasrophe, but now i can kill all of them except the last 2 wich i haven’t got yet, and i can’t work out why? i went in with a vaguely good party and came out with an unbeatable one. Even Tidus is now doing 99999damage where he was only doing 50000 before.

But there isn’t any way to break the shell is there? When I fought it, once it retreated into the shell, there is nothing that can cause damage to it until it comes back out from the protection.

No, overdrives hurt the shell but then the regeneration heals the shell aswell so you have to use powerful overdrives.

ok.. at first, i had a hard time beating Neslug, buh he is ez.. wen he retreats into his shell, have a strong balck mage double cast "flare" and use Blitz Ace (tidus) and Attack Reels (Wakka)… then jus have at it

This was one of the tougher fights I did in the game. It took me a little while to finally beat the Neslug, but I finally did it. Wakka kicked its butt with the Attack Reels.

Attack Reels is a must. Either that, or have Yuna be really really strong and use Passado.

This bastard not only breaks limits, but breaks the absolute limit when it comes to curing. So…. you have to have something that’ll give multiple hits that break the limit. Nothing else will help. Even Blitz Ace is kinda obsolete

I had Yuna and Lulu Doublecast Ultima; with their celestial weapons, you can deal well over 99,999 damage per turn.

I think it goes into its shell after 2,000,000hp has been taken off. If you keep quick-hitting until nearly 2,000,000hp has been taken off, as long as Wakka is dealing 99999 damage, you can use his overdrive and kill Neslug before he retreats into his shell. Im certain I’ve killed him without him retreating into his shell.
