Why not? People are allowed to be proud of their work. If you put all your effort into something you should be proud of the outcome, regardless of others opinions. But I guess that’s quite impossible for people who think they are on a higher level than everyone else.

In case you never noticed, ODP, I can manage standing up for myself around here quite well. I don’t need the help of someone who would most likely delete their post five minutes later, anyway.

P.S. – Your "stunning work" is quite infantile in it’s presentation, not to mention utterly lacking in anything of interest. Mainly because it’s completely unoriginal in content. The story has been done about five times before that I can recall, by far better authors than you. Different names used, of course, but same general storyline.

The prime example of this one being The Godmakers by Frank Herbert. Check it out, and then go cower in your own inadequacies as a writer when you witness the awesomeness that is Frank Herbert.
