In my opinion i liked the Shining Forces better, but i have no idea why. Tactics is the better game overall, but for some reason im more fond of SF
They both had interesting stories, and good gameplay, but I think Tactics is the better game.
That said, Disgaea pwns them both.
Well, I have to give Shining Force some credit, because without it, Tactics probably never would have even been made.

I must find this game.
They’re still very hard (especially II, where enemies have a bad habit of suddenly overwhelming your forces and wiping out the main character), but enjoyable. Not to mention the interesting cast of characters who come from a wide variety of backgrounds, classes and species, ranging from humans to talking animals and even hybrids like centaurs and birdmen. I still think Jogurt from the first one was rather fruity though (yes, that pun was intentional! lol).
Here’s hoping a remake of Shining Force III, complete with all 3 scenarios, is in the works for the PS2, seeing as how SF seems to eb making a comeback with Shining Force IV on the PS2 in development and the earlier Mega Drive releases getting rereleased on the GBA. Still, I can dream…
