Dark Cloud (2)

I was wondering if someone could tell me if dark cloud 1 and or 2 are good games, i heard people say they loved it and others say they didn’t, keeping in mind that i’m an FF fan what are the good and bad things about these 2? (and if i should buy only 1 game which one?)

never heard of this game, is this about the ff7 char cloud? or something completely different?

i just found out that Dark cloud 2 is called Dark Chronicle in europe.

maybe you know that one?
it is a PS2 game.

and it has nothing to do with Cloud Strife.

dark chronicle……………..it does ring a bell, but still have no idea wat its about!

I never knew that really. I never heard of Dark Cloud, however I do own Dark Chronicle. I never knew it was a sequel to something. What I like best so far about htis game is your weapon costumisation. It can evolve in so many ways and ofcourse there is your Pod/Monster thinger that you can level/evolve also adding to the gameplay. I must admit I haven’t progressed that far yet but I hihgly enjoy this game. The music is quite nice and the story is well thought out. And the controlls are quite easy to master.

well so far it seems nice, anyone else with an opinion?

Dark Cloud 1 and 2 are both decent. A bit Zelda-ish, but fun.

Personally, I think Dark Cloud 2 is much better then the first one.

dark cloud 2 is a good game and well worth getting due to the huge amount of gameplay(easily outlasting any finalfantasy if u do everything). it is well presented with good graphics and music and plays pretty well. the only thing that i didn’t like was that it moves slowly and u have to put alot of work in and the dungeons are really quite long with nothing in them except battles(imo it could really use some puzzles).
i would definately recommned that u get it.

Dark Cloud was the first game I bought for Ps2. I really liked it a lot, it has very fun gameplay but it can get repeative at times . I haven’t played Dark Cloud 2 but I heard very good things.

If you live in Europe it would be Dark Chronicle

But so far i think it would be a nice game, i think i’m gonna wait just a little bit longer until it is Platinum (since it has been released almost a year ago)

Dark Cloud 2 look cool but I hated Dark Cloud 1. That game is shit, I will name just a few things that get on my nerves:

-The dungeons: It is always the same damn background!!! You say:Hey this dungeon looks cool! The you see that the landscape is always the same in the 23 lv!!!!ARGHHHHH!!!!

-Repairing weapons: This things really get on my nerves!! Yeah repairing weapons is okay…but not when you have to repair it after each 3 monsters!!!!ARGHHHHH!!!! You waste 3/4 of your money to repair weapons!!It get on my nerves!!!

It had been a long time since a thrown the game in the toilet(joking), so I just have to remember some other things and I will be able to tell other things that I hate about it!! But it is a Dar Cloud 2 thread so I will not write it, I just wanted to tell how Dark Cloud 1 was a failure.

Dark Cloud was really a dungeon crawler type game… too bad it didn’t have too much to offer I felt. 🙁

Dark Cloud 2 on the other hand looks very interesting and I really want to pick that game up sooner or later.

I liked both of them. Dark Chronicle was one of the best games I ever played. It’s a unique little gem.
