Ap Not Working

Hey guys, love FF7 but think i am havin some kind of crazy… happening with my meteria… ok… scenario: here i am… sprawled out on my recliner… IN MY BOXERS mind you… playing FF7, c’mon we’ve all been there… and i’m in the north cave thingy with Sephroth… i’m just Leveling up my Materia cuz i’m bored and stuff… and then i look to see how the progress in comming along.. NOT TOO GOOD i"M AFRAID… it seems that only 2-4 materia slots per character are getting the actual AP points… i know this because my… exit (just found out i needed it) has 0 AP, as do my W-summon, W-magic, and W-item… and many of my materia aint gaining any points either… anyone else know WTF is goin on? other than my boxers are chaifin me?

PLZ reply soon i gotta master all my crap so i can beat Emerald and Ruby easier

and yes.. i’ve whooped sephroth like 400 times, havn’t failed yet suprozingly (sp? Whatever) first time i beat him i didn’t ahve W-Summor or KOTR GOOD OLD FASHIONED WHOOPING

Are you sure you don’t have each character’s ultimate weapon on? If you do, that’s why. When you go to the equip screen and choose your weapon, it tells you how many materia slots you get, yes? Well if it says "nothing", then you’ve gotta change your weapon… if that’s not what’s wrong then sorry, I don’t have a clue, it seems like that’s the only thing it could be.

Lunatic’s right. There are specific weapons and armour that have a No AP limiter on them. The obvious ones are the ultimate weapons found for each character (with 8 linked materia slots.) There are also weapons and armour that have double and triple AP growth, for the materia to develop quicker.
